Zadar, Croatia
Our goal is to provide you with the most enjoyable charter yacht experience possible. We are based in Zadar, immediately across from the city's historic center. In just a few minutes, you'll be in the heart of the old town. At the charter base, you will be greeted by a German-speaking crew who has finished their training in Germany and is fluent in the language. From the moment you make a reservation until the time you check-in and check-out, we will treat you like family. You can also book a one-way charter flight from us to Trogir. We can arrange a return transfer for you, or you can fly home from Split Airport. With our high-quality charter catamarans and equipment, excellent service, and over 25 years of yacht rental experience, you can plan your long-awaited charter trip in style. We made the decision to solely offer sailing catamarans more than a decade ago.
Our catamarans not only provide far more living space on board than a sailing yacht, but they are also more easier to operate than comparable catamarans with normal propellers, thanks to special propellers known as Max Propellers in technical language.
Our catamarans are designed to give you the most fun even when sailing, so all ships are equipped with a roll genaker. When there is minimal wind, the roll genaker is employed as a second genoa, and you are always on the move with the roll genaker. The roll genaker is rolled in like a genoa at the end of the sailing excursion. The skipper is assisted by an electric winch when setting the sails and during maneuvers so that the skipper or helmsman can handle the catamaran alone. Because you don't have to brake while sailing, the Max Propellers provide more speed while removing the noise and vibration associated with standard propellers. When operating under engine, the Max Propellers also allow the engines to attain hull speed at a considerably lower speed, which minimizes engine noise and usage. Once in port, maneuvering is significantly easier because the propellers provide the same amount of power in both directions and are effective even at low speeds. There's no need to press the accelerator. We're buying catamarans from reputable shipyards. For decades, they have been building huge, high-quality cruising catamarans that meet the highest equipment, navigation, comfort, and operation criteria.
The start and end hours of the tour can be discussed and adjusted.
Zadar is a city located in the Adriatic Sea's heartZadar, located in the Adriatic Sea, is the administrative, political, cultural, and scientific center of northern Dalmatia, with a population of approximately 75,000 people. Because Zadar is a very easily accessible destination (by land, sea, or air) and well connected with all major cities in Croatia, as well as having a variety of marinas with large capacity and good service, an increasing number of people choose this city and its surroundings as a destination for sailing.
One of the main reasons that many boaters choose this area is the beautiful Zadar archipelago, which has over 300 islands, both large and small. There are three nearby nature parks: Telascica, North Velebit, and Vransko Lake, as well as five national parks: Paklenica, Plitvice, Krka, Velebit, and Kornati. Zadar was a Roman colony in the middle of the second century, the center of the Byzantine province of Dalmatia in the seventh century, and it was conquered by Crusaders and Venetians in the thirteenth century. The city was taken over by Austrians at the beginning of the nineteenth century. During this time, Zadar was connected by road to a number of major cities (Vienna and Zadar). Zadar evolved into a modern European city in the second half of the nineteenth century. All of these events contributed to Zadar's rich history, and its center, which is surrounded by historical walls, has the most monuments in Croatia. Since July 2017, the walls have been listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The Sea Organ and Greeting to the Sun are two works of art that do not come from history but are well-known around the world. From here, you can enjoy the most beautiful sunset in the world, according to Alfred Hitchcock.
Zadar - Marina TankerkomercOur catamarans are docked at Marina Tankerkomerc, which is roughly a 10-minute walk from the old town. The marina has 300 sea berths and 200 dry berths and is well protected from the wind. The Moto Marina Service is also available for spare parts and repairs. The marina has excellent sanitary and safety facilities, as well as parking (Blue Flag). Zadar Airport is 12 kilometers away, Split Airport is 130 kilometers away, and Zagreb Airport is 290 kilometers away. The marina is right adjacent to the gas station. The marina is roughly a 10-minute walk from a grocery. There is also a drugstore, a pharmacy, and a bus stop in addition to the grocery. Near the marina, there are various restaurants and cafes.
The Kornat restaurant sits in the old town, directly across from the Marina Tankerkomerc. You can walk across the bridge or take a rowing boat to get to the restaurant. The barkajoli, or rowing boat captains, have a long history in Zadar and are one of the city's hallmarks. This is a 14th-century family tradition that continues today. It's only a 2-minute walk from the marina to the start of "Barkajoli," which is directly next to the Barka coffee shop. Bruschetta is another restaurant with a view of the sea from its patio. Garden Lounge, which is positioned on the city walls and has a view of the harbor and the sea, is a recommended coffee and cocktail bar. The marina is around 5 kilometers from the huge Supernova shopping mall. Taxis are the most convenient mode of transportation.
Our Catamaran – Lucia 40The Lucia 40's sleek and athletic lines, along with the catamaran shipyard's high-tech technology for hull construction, result in significant weight savings. The Lucia is definitely in the lead among charter catamarans in her class as a result of her sailing prowess. To further improve this, the Lucia 40 is fitted with a roller genaker that is driven like a second genoa. With a 10 mph breeze, the Lucia 40 from Fountaine Pajot is already 6-7 knots fast. We improved the sailing characteristics even more by installing a maxpropeller, which increased the sailing speed by nearly a knot.
The revolving propeller's irritating vibrations and background noise are fully eliminated, and the Lucia 40 sails upwind at nearly the same height as a comparable monohull sailing yacht. Our Lucia 40 stands out in the harbor because of its mobility when combined with the Maxpropeller. The charter catamaran Lucia 40 now has a three-bladed max propeller in place of its modest two-bladed fixed propeller. The skipper is always up to date thanks to the vast selection of electronic instruments behind the helm. The charter catamaran is equipped with AIS and radar, as well as a wind measuring device and a radio that can be controlled from the cockpit. All electrical equipment, including the chart plotter and radio, is situated a second time at the chart table. When setting sails and maneuvering, the catamaran's skipper is assisted by an electric winch. The helm station and cockpit can be entirely shuttered in adverse weather.
Do you like to tie up to a buoy or anchor? The Lucia 40 charter catamaran is the ideal vessel for you. The 100-meter anchor chain and extra-large anchor provide added security and the ability to anchor in deeper water where other ships are unable to do so due to chain length limitations. We've equipped the Lucia 40 with a solar system and a watermaker so you don't have to go without when you're at anchor. Because it runs on 12 volts and the solar system charges the batteries, the seawater desalination system may also be utilized while sailing. The generator is only used on rare occasions.
Because the Lucia 40 is entirely self-sufficient, you can enjoy the Croatian islands and bays even more with the Lucia 40 because you won't have to go to a port or marina. The 3.2-meter-long aluminum-hulled dinghy is powered by a 10-hp outboard motor that can reach speeds of up to 20 knots. From the coffee machine to the hand blender or hand vacuum cleaner, the kitchen of the Lucia 40 by Fountaine Pajot is well-equipped. Enjoy your meal on Kahla porcelain, which has a special anti-slip coating on the underside and stands firmly on the table. Everything you'll need for a longer vacation can be stored in two huge refrigerators. The four cabins each feature a bathroom with a shower and toilet, and the beds will be made and towels will be available when you come. In the spring and autumn, the entire ship can be heated with central heating with a thermostat in each cabin, ensuring that you are comfortable on your Croatian charter catamaran in any weather.
