Descrição do produto

Explore the broader Caribbean through a 13-day private superyacht expedition proposed from Tortola toward Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Cuba and the Bahamas. This western itinerary is conceived for guests who appreciate meaningful offshore passages, diverse island cultures and destinations extending beyond conventional yacht-charter circuits. Historic cities, quiet cays, mountainous coastlines and open-ocean sailing combine to create a voyage of significant geographic and cultural scope.

The experience begins at a professionally managed marina in Tortola, British Virgin Islands. As one of the region’s established charter centers, Tortola offers secure berthing, provisioning resources and convenient transport connections. The shoreside team coordinates guest preferences, embarkation details and final yacht preparations, supporting an orderly transition from arrival on land to life aboard.

Our Greater Antilles Expedition Service

Thirteen crew members provide the operational expertise and discreet hospitality required for a complex multi-country itinerary. Up to 12 guests receive personalized dining, cabin service, activity support and continuous assistance throughout the charter. The crew can prepare formal dinners, relaxed outdoor meals and celebration arrangements while adapting daily service to the group’s preferred pace.

This route crosses multiple jurisdictions and includes extensive distances. Entry permissions, cruising permits, sanctions or regulatory restrictions, insurance approval, security assessments and local port requirements must be verified before confirmation. Haiti calls are especially dependent on official advice and the operator’s risk assessment. Cuba routing may also be limited by the yacht’s flag, ownership, insurers, banking arrangements and guest nationalities. Any unavailable destination will be replaced with a safe and legally permissible alternative. Final routing always remains subject to weather and the captain’s authority.

Day 1 - Tortola to Eastern Puerto Rico: Depart the BVI and cruise west toward Vieques, Culebra or Fajardo. Open-water navigation introduces the expedition, while guests settle into the yacht’s spacious lounges and exterior areas. Following clearance, a protected anchorage offers the chance to swim, relax and enjoy the first Caribbean sunset of the voyage.

Day 2 - Vieques and Culebra: Explore the smaller islands east of Puerto Rico, known for turquoise bays, beaches and protected marine environments. Short tender trips and swimming stops create an unhurried day following the initial passage. The crew can serve lunch outdoors before moving to a calm overnight location selected for comfort and scenery.

Day 3 - San Juan: Continue along Puerto Rico toward San Juan, where the historic fortified district presents cobbled streets, colonial architecture and a dynamic cultural atmosphere. Marina access also supports provisioning and operational requirements. Guests can combine sightseeing ashore with an evening of private dining and panoramic city views aboard the yacht.

Day 4 - Passage to the Dominican Republic: Cruise toward Hispaniola and the Dominican Republic, with Samaná, Puerto Plata or another approved destination considered according to routing. The passage emphasizes open-water navigation, while arrival reveals palm-lined shores and dramatic terrain. A sheltered anchorage provides a welcome setting for dinner and rest.

Day 5 - Dominican Coastal Exploration: Discover lagoons, mangroves, beaches and coastal settlements along the selected region. A guided excursion may introduce local communities and natural highlights, or guests may choose a private day centered on swimming, spa treatments and beach-club relaxation aboard.

Day 6 - Conditional Hispaniola Routing: Continue west along the island, following a route approved by the captain, management, insurers and relevant authorities. A Haitian coastal call will occur only if formally permitted and considered safe at the time of travel. Otherwise, the day will be reassigned to a suitable Dominican destination or used to position toward Jamaica.

Day 7 - Offshore Passage to Jamaica: Cross open Caribbean water toward Jamaica, with the bridge team managing navigation, forecasts and watchkeeping. Guests can spend the passage around the sundeck pool, in the gym or spa, or enjoying uninterrupted ocean views. Arrival may be planned near Port Antonio, Montego Bay or another appropriate port.

Day 8 - Jamaica: Explore Jamaica’s waterfalls, green coastline, sheltered coves and energetic cultural identity. Shore arrangements can be personalized around nature, cuisine, music or quiet beach time. Returning to the yacht provides a private counterpoint to the island’s colorful atmosphere.

Day 9 - Northbound Ocean Crossing: Begin a longer passage toward an approved Cuban or Bahamian destination. This is a genuine blue-water sector, allowing guests to experience the yacht underway while enjoying stabilizers, expansive social areas and attentive service. The crew continuously reviews weather and regulatory conditions.

Day 10 - Conditional Cuba Experience: If all legal, security and operational permissions are secured, call at an approved Cuban port and explore its maritime heritage and distinctive coastal culture. If Cuba cannot be included, the itinerary will proceed directly toward the Bahamas or incorporate an additional Turks and Caicos or Bahamian stop.

Day 11 - Eastward Passage: Continue toward the Bahamas, with routing determined by currents, weather and the approved voyage plan. Guests may enjoy wellness treatments, an outdoor film or an expertly prepared meal as open water gives way gradually to the lighter shades of the Bahamian banks.

Day 12 - Exuma Cays or Nassau Region: Arrive among shallow turquoise water, coral habitats and brilliant sandbars. Depending on draft restrictions and the captain’s chosen anchorage, explore by tender, swim, snorkel or relax on an isolated beach. This restful stop provides a striking contrast to the preceding offshore passages.

Day 13 - Voyage Completion: Begin the final passage toward the agreed disembarkation location. Because the Bahamas-to-Tortola distance is substantial, return timing and any overnight navigation must be included in the contracted itinerary. Disembarkation may instead be arranged in a practical regional port, ensuring that the voyage remains safe, comfortable and operationally realistic.

Amels 180 Design and Accommodation

This 55-metre yacht was delivered by Amels and received a beautiful refit in 2024. Tim Heywood Design created its award-winning exterior profile, while Laura Sessa Romboli developed the elegant contemporary interior. Six cabins welcome up to 12 guests, including two full-beam owner’s suites that provide exceptional space for principal travelers.

The 175-square-metre sundeck is arranged with a pool, Jacuzzi, outdoor cinema, bar and broad areas for sunbathing or entertaining. Refined salons, dining rooms, alfresco settings and fold-down balconies give guests a choice between gathering socially and enjoying individual privacy. The interior atmosphere balances timeless finishes with contemporary comfort.

A Hammam, spa and fully equipped gym make wellness possible even during extended passages. At sea level, the beach club and swimming platform create an elegant base for water access. Premium tenders facilitate shore visits, while the BBQ area supports informal meals outdoors. Starlink and Wi-Fi offer connectivity where available, and stabilizers underway and at anchor contribute materially to comfort.

Luxury with an Expeditionary Outlook

This is not a routine island-hopping holiday. It is an ambitious private voyage for guests interested in extended cruising, culturally different destinations and the experience of crossing open Caribbean waters aboard a capable superyacht. Early planning is essential because of the distances and regulatory complexity. Once feasibility is established, the charter team can develop a tailored program of menus, activities and shore visits supported by an accomplished 13-member crew and an outstanding Amels platform.
