13-Day Crewed Codecasa 62m Greater Antilles and Western Caribbean Yacht Charter from Tortola for Up to 18 Guests

This thirteen-day luxury yacht itinerary from Tortola is designed for guests seeking a deeper exploration of the Greater Antilles and western Caribbean. Extending beyond the compact cruising grounds of the Virgin Islands, the route progresses through Puerto Rico, Vieques, San Juan, the Dominican Republic, potential Haitian coastal waters, Jamaica, Cuba, the Bahamas and the Exuma Cays before completing the wider circuit.

Longer offshore passages are balanced with culturally rich ports, tropical beaches, natural anchorages and sophisticated urban stops. The programme introduces guests to the historical character of San Juan, the mountainous coastlines of Hispaniola and Jamaica, the distinctive maritime heritage of Cuba and the luminous shallow waters of the Bahamas. It is an expedition-style charter suited to travellers who appreciate navigation, distance and changing island cultures as essential parts of the experience.

Boarding takes place at Tortola Marina, where professional facilities and efficient guest services support a comfortable departure. Secure berthing, practical regional access and experienced marina personnel help simplify embarkation. Once aboard, guests are cared for by seventeen crew members responsible for navigation, hospitality, culinary service, housekeeping, tender operations and technical management.

The itinerary is ambitious and must remain flexible. Port clearances, immigration procedures, cruising permissions, regional advisories, weather forecasts and sea conditions may require changes to the order of destinations or the replacement of particular stops. Any proposed call near Haiti will only proceed following the captain's operational assessment and confirmation that local conditions, regulations and security considerations are acceptable. Guest safety and responsible route management remain the overriding priorities.

About Our Greater Antilles Charter Service

The Greater Antilles provide a very different Caribbean experience from the smaller eastern island chains. Distances are greater, coastlines are broader and each destination contains a complex cultural and geographical identity. This yacht charter allows guests to experience those contrasts privately, moving between major cities, remote anchorages, coral-fringed islands and extended open-water passages while enjoying consistent accommodation and personalised service.

Day 1 - Tortola to Puerto Rico: Following embarkation, the yacht departs Tortola and proceeds west toward Puerto Rican waters. The journey introduces open-sea cruising, steady trade winds and broad ocean views. Depending on timing and clearance arrangements, the yacht may anchor near Fajardo or Vieques. Guests can settle into their staterooms, enjoy the exterior decks and gather for a welcome dinner as the first stage of the western route begins.

Day 2 - Vieques and Culebra: The eastern islands of Puerto Rico provide a relaxed contrast to the previous passage. Vieques and Culebra are known for turquoise bays, beaches and protected marine areas. The yacht may move between selected anchorages, allowing time for swimming, snorkelling and tender exploration. Guests may also choose a quiet beach visit or remain onboard to enjoy the Jacuzzi, sun deck and personalised dining service.

Day 3 - San Juan: Continuing along Puerto Rico's coast, the yacht approaches San Juan. The historic district offers colourful colonial buildings, fortified walls, lively streets and diverse dining. Guests may explore Old San Juan with a guide, visit cultural attractions or enjoy the city's nightlife. Marina services also create an opportunity for provisioning and operational preparation before the voyage continues toward Hispaniola.

Day 4 - Passage to the Dominican Republic: A longer offshore leg leads toward the Dominican Republic. Arrival may be planned around Samaná Bay, Puerto Plata or another appropriate location. The coastline introduces green mountains, palm-lined beaches and substantial natural bays. Throughout the passage, the bridge team manages navigation and weather routing while guests relax in the yacht's lounges, gym, entertainment area or outdoor spaces.

Day 5 - Dominican Republic Coastal Exploration: The yacht cruises along a selected section of the Dominican Republic's coastline. Depending on the chosen region, guests may discover lagoons, mangroves, sheltered beaches or small coastal communities. Shore excursions can focus on natural scenery, local cuisine or cultural experiences. A protected overnight anchorage provides a peaceful conclusion to the day.

Day 6 - Hispaniola Navigation and Conditional Haitian Routing: The route may continue toward the northern or western waters of Hispaniola. Any navigation near Haiti remains entirely conditional on current operating circumstances, official requirements and the captain's approval. Where a call is not considered suitable, the yacht will follow an alternative offshore course or extend time in an approved destination. This stage emphasises careful passage planning and responsible operational flexibility.

Day 7 - Offshore Passage to Jamaica: The yacht crosses open Caribbean waters toward Jamaica. The longer distance provides a genuine blue-water experience, supported by professional watchkeeping and continual weather monitoring. Guests can enjoy uninterrupted sea views and the yacht's full range of amenities while the crew maintains comfort and service throughout the journey. Arrival may be arranged near Montego Bay, Port Antonio or another appropriate harbour.

Day 8 - Jamaica: Jamaica offers a varied day of coastal scenery and cultural discovery. Waterfalls, coves, beaches, music and local cuisine can all form part of the programme. Guests may choose a guided inland excursion, a waterfront lunch, swimming from the yacht or a slower day in a sheltered bay. The island's energy and recognisable cultural identity make it a memorable contrast to the quieter cruising stops.

Day 9 - Northbound Passage Toward Cuba: The yacht begins another significant offshore passage, navigating toward Cuban waters. The day is shaped by route planning, wind conditions and the gradual transition from the central Caribbean toward the northern Greater Antilles. Onboard life continues with personalised meals, fitness, entertainment and relaxation while the crew prepares documentation and arrival arrangements.

Day 10 - Cuba: Subject to cruising permissions, entry regulations and the agreed route, the yacht may approach Cuba's eastern or southern coastline. Sheltered bays, historic coastal settlements and long stretches of comparatively undeveloped shoreline create a distinctive maritime experience. Shore access and activities will depend on local authorisations. Where permitted, guests may experience architecture, music, local culture and Cuba's strong nautical heritage.

Day 11 - Passage Toward the Bahamas: The yacht turns toward the Bahamas, with the bridge team selecting the most suitable course according to weather and the broader return plan. This offshore day gives guests another opportunity to appreciate the scale and amenities of the yacht. The nightclub-style entertainment space, onyx bar, gym, lounges and exterior decks provide several ways to spend the passage.

Day 12 - Bahamas and Exuma Cays: Arrival in the Bahamas introduces shallow turquoise seas, bright sandbanks and coral-rich waters. The Exuma Cays or Nassau area may be included depending on the chosen route and passage timing. Guests can swim, snorkel, visit a remote beach or explore by tender. After several extended navigation legs, the calm water and open scenery provide a restorative final destination experience.

Day 13 - Final Passage Toward Tortola: The concluding stage progresses toward the Virgin Islands and the agreed disembarkation point. Due to the distances involved, the final operating plan may require an overnight passage, revised destination sequence or alternative end port. The crew coordinates transfers and departure arrangements while guests enjoy their final hours onboard. The voyage ends having connected some of the Caribbean's largest, most culturally significant and geographically varied islands.

About Our Codecasa 62m Luxury Yacht

A yacht of substantial size, capability and guest capacity is essential for an itinerary of this scope. The 62-metre Codecasa combines classic Italian styling with the interior sophistication of Della Role Design. Following a comprehensive refit in 2023, she offers an updated charter environment while maintaining the elegance and character for which the shipyard is known.

Seven staterooms accommodate up to eighteen guests. This capacity makes the yacht a strong option for families, groups of couples, private celebrations and business gatherings requiring both shared areas and personal space. Comfortable accommodation is complemented by refined dining areas, lounges and entertainment venues that remain valuable during longer sea passages.

The illuminated onyx bar provides a striking social centre, while a private nightclub-style area with karaoke facilities supports lively evening entertainment. An elevator reaches every deck, offering convenient circulation throughout the yacht. Satellite television, Wi-Fi and full air conditioning further support an extended stay onboard.

Outdoor facilities include a Jacuzzi, exterior bar, alfresco dining settings and several lounging areas distributed across expansive decks. Guests can move between sun and shade, dine with panoramic views or enjoy quiet time away from the main group. Two luxury tenders facilitate shore transfers and exploration in areas where direct yacht access is impractical.

A fully equipped gym allows guests to continue their fitness routines, while advanced stabilisation systems contribute to comfort during passages and at anchor. The seventeen-member crew provides the service depth and technical competence required for cross-border navigation and complex multi-destination planning.

A Private Expedition Across the Greater Antilles

This itinerary is not a conventional resort-hopping holiday. It is an extensive private voyage connecting major Caribbean cultures and demanding offshore sectors within one carefully managed programme. The yacht gives guests a consistent standard of accommodation and hospitality as the surrounding destinations change from historic cities to remote bays and broad ocean passages.

Early planning is essential because visas, entry regulations, cruising permissions, weather windows and port arrangements can materially affect the final route. With sufficient preparation, the thirteen-day Greater Antilles itinerary provides an uncommon opportunity to experience Puerto Rico, Hispaniola, Jamaica, Cuba and the Bahamas from the privacy of a refined 62-metre yacht. Reserve the preferred charter period to begin developing a realistic, personalised and professionally coordinated western Caribbean journey.
