Weekly Bareboat Charter: Thracian Coastline & Delta Exploration from Kavala

Kavala opens the door to a coastal arc of sandy headlands, wetland horizons, and lighthouse city sunsets. This nature-forward itinerary trades island loops for mainland discoveries, carrying you from beachy Iraklitsa and laid-back Keramoti to Porto Lagos and the bird-rich expanses of the Evros Delta, before circling back through Alexandroupolis to historic Kavala.

About Our Service along the Thracian Shore

The week is designed for easy legs and immersive shore time. Families and photographers love the calm anchorages and wildlife-viewing options; food lovers appreciate the waterfront tavernas and market-fresh cuisine. With fuel, water, and provisioning available along the route, you’ll keep a relaxed cadence—sail in the morning, explore in the afternoon, dine to the sound of halyards in the breeze.

Day 1 (Saturday, 17:00) – Kavala to Iraklitsa (~6 NM)
Board, brief, and make a short evening hop to Iraklitsa for a first swim and dinner under the stars. Overnight at anchor.

Day 2 (Sunday) – Iraklitsa to Keramoti (~15 NM)
Sandy beaches, shallow turquoise, and an easygoing harbor define Keramoti. Swim, sunbathe, and sample seaside tavern lunches. Overnight onboard.

Day 3 (Monday) – Keramoti to Porto Lagos (~18 NM)
Enter the calm world of lagoons and wooden bridges. Anchor near the Agios Nikolaos Monastery, perched over the water. Consider a sunset kayak or birdwatching walk.

Day 4 (Tuesday) – Porto Lagos to Alexandroupolis (~35 NM)
A longer coastal run delivers you to Alexandroupolis, where cafés, promenades, and the lighthouse set an urban-seaside scene. Overnight in the marina.

Day 5 (Wednesday) – Evros Delta National Park Excursion
Spend the day exploring the wetlands—home to flamingos, pelicans, and seasonal migrants. Optional guided tours add depth for nature enthusiasts. Return to your berth for a quiet night.

Day 6 (Thursday) – Alexandroupolis to Keramoti (~35 NM)
Turn west to Keramoti for an easy afternoon of swimming and shore walks. Sunset on deck caps the day.

Day 7 (Friday) – Keramoti to Kavala (~25 NM)
Sail back to historic Kavala. Explore the castle, the aqueduct, and the old quarter before a final dinner with harbor views.

Day 8 (Saturday, 09:00) – Disembarkation
Breakfast and checkout—memories framed by sandbars, monasteries on water, and wide coastal skies.
