7-Day Ionian Islands Sailing Adventure from Sivota – Bareboat Charter Aboard Lagoon 51

Set off from the tranquil port of Marina Sivota, nestled on the southern shores of Lefkada Island, and prepare for a week-long Ionian sailing experience that blends cultural exploration, natural wonders, and hidden coastal gems. This bareboat charter aboard the luxurious Lagoon 51 catamaran gives confident sailors the freedom to chart their own course through the breathtaking waters of Western Greece, with optional crew support available for a truly tailored experience.

About Our Service in the Ionian Islands

Departing from Marina Sivota, your journey begins in the serene waters surrounding Lefkada, leading you south toward Kefalonia and Zakynthos before looping through the less-traveled havens of Ithaka, Atokos, Kastos, and Meganisi. From colorful harbors and dramatic caves to iconic beaches and traditional villages, this itinerary offers something for every adventurer.

Saturday | Sivota – Fiscardo (Kefalonia)
Start your voyage with a short sail south to Fiscardo on Kefalonia’s northern tip. This vibrant fishing village is a visual delight, with pastel-colored houses and bustling tavernas lining the harbor. As most charters don’t reach this spot on the first day, you’ll likely have your pick of berths—or anchor just outside the harbor for a more secluded night with stunning views.

Sunday | Fiscardo – Sami (Kefalonia)
Cruise along Kefalonia’s craggy coastline to Sami, a quiet port town offering easy access to two of the island’s most breathtaking natural attractions—Melissani Cave and Drogarati Cave. Both are accessible via a short taxi ride and offer a unique look at the island’s underground beauty. Spend the evening at one of Sami’s relaxed seaside tavernas.

Monday | Sami – Agios Nikolaos (Zakynthos) via Blue Caves
Head south to Zakynthos, with a stop at the famed Blue Caves. Sunlight dancing on limestone walls creates a surreal spectacle that’s not to be missed. Continue on to Agios Nikolaos, a quiet harbor at the northern end of Zakynthos, where you’ll find charming local eateries and an authentic island vibe.

Tuesday | Agios Nikolaos – Porto Vromi via Navagio Beach
Cruise past Zakynthos’ iconic Shipwreck Beach—Navagio—before anchoring in the tranquil bay of Porto Vromi. The high cliffs and crystalline waters here offer a picture-perfect setting for a peaceful overnight stay.

Wednesday | Porto Vromi – Kioni or Vathy (Ithaka)
Your longest sail of the week takes you north toward Ithaka. Choose between two excellent mooring options: Vathy, a lively town with restaurants and provisioning, or the quieter and more picturesque Kioni, set against a backdrop of olive groves and neoclassical homes. Whichever you choose, the charm of Odysseus' homeland awaits.

Thursday | Ithaka – Atokos & Kastos
Sail to remote Atokos Island and anchor in the idyllic One House Bay, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Later, continue to Kastos and moor at Piscina Bay—named for its pool-like clarity—before dining in the delightful Il Porto taverna.

Friday | Kastos – Meganisi – Sivota
On your final day, make a memorable stop at Meganisi’s Papanikolis Cave, a majestic sea cavern ideal for a morning dip. Continue to Zagana Cliff for a last tranquil swim before returning to Marina Sivota for a celebratory farewell dinner. Choose from local favorites like Captain Stavros, Odysseas, or Liotrivi, or take a taxi to a mountain-view restaurant for a magical finale.
