Overview

The boat safaris in Uganda will provide you with the opportunity to have a peaceful journey while witnessing a variety of rewarding wildlife sights and vistas in the many areas where you will participate in the boat safaris in Uganda. Uganda is known for a variety of attractions and activities such as gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and gorilla trekking in Mgahinga National Park, chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park, rhino tracking in Uganda, chimpanzee habituation in Uganda, and many other rewarding tourism activities in Uganda. We can provide you with a lot of unforgettable safaris as you get to experience the many sites and perspectives for rewarding Uganda safaris.

We will pick you up from your hotel at 1.30 p.m. and depart at 2.00 p.m. During the boat excursion, you may purchase and enjoy a variety of snacks, drinks, and meals while sailing through the first few kilometers of the Nile, looking for birds, otters, and Nile Monitor lizards along the banks and tiny islands. Whether you have a large or small party, we have a cruise for you. Our two-story pontoon boat is a terrific option for large and small groups to spend time together. You may see many creatures coming to the lake, as well as other aquatic species and countless birds. The boat takes you meters away from the roaring Murchison Falls, providing you with breathtaking views of the falls. The trip lasts two hours, and you will be left off at the hotel at 4.30 p.m.

Spend some of your holiday time on a nature walk touring the islands in search of the wonderful variety of bird life. Always keep a look out for tiny island species like as monkeys, otters, monitor lizards, sitatunga antelopes, bushbuck, and others. Share a drink of the tastiest fresh pineapple juice you've ever tasted with your family and friends, or sip excellent cocktails while watching the sun set from one of the islands' rocky crags.

Even better, watch the beautiful fish eagles descend from the skies into the lake in search of an evening meal. Admire their elegance and perfection while mentally committing to doing the same when you go fishing! You could also see some of the migratory species that nest here, such as Abdim's stork, Eurasian bee-eater, and white-throated bee-eater.

Lake Victoria, also known as Victoria Nyanza, is the world's biggest tropical lake and the second largest freshwater lake (by surface area) after Lake Superior in Canada.

With an extent of 68,800 square kilometers (26,565 square miles), it may be considered a tiny inland sea. It is a freshwater body since it is not part of the Rift Valley ecosystem, unlike most of the alkaline lakes in the vicinity. Lake Victoria is shared by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, and has a maximum depth of 80-84 meters (262-275 ft). Rainwater, the Kagera River, and other minor streams feed it, and it eventually flows into the Nile River to the north. Although John Speke is credited with the lake's ""discovery,"" the Bassese tribe had lived alongside it and on its beaches for generations before the advent of foreign explorers.

Lake Victoria also has another distinction: it is the home to the Ssese archipelago, a group of 84 big and tiny inland islands that has been named one of the world's Top 10 Hidden Islands. The islands' sandy tan-colored beaches, glistening seas, palm palms, and mild tropical breezes, along with the experience of an inland beach holiday in the heart of Africa, captivate discerning travelers searching for something out of the ordinary.

Each island has a unique ecology that is home to unusual birds, plants, and trees, as well as crocodiles, hippos, monkeys, and other smaller wildlife. The islands nearest to Entebbe are suitable for calm lakeside vacations or a quick stopover on your way home after an action-packed safari trip in Uganda's parks and reserves. The lake's closeness to Entebbe International Airport, the country's principal entrance point, makes it easily accessible to the majority of the population.

You'll never want to leave the lake after spending time there! Look attentively at the carpets of floating water hyacinth, papyrus reeds, and marsh plants for a hidden hippo. Lake Victoria is a birdwatcher's paradise, and you'll be able to see numerous uncommon bird species with bright colors and patterns if you take a journey out to the little islets and along the banks of Entebbe.

Enjoy the sights of the lush green islands, which stand out against the pure blue of the lake waters and their bird and aquatic life. To top it all off, meet the locals in the picturesque, bucolic towns that dot the islands.

Things to bring

We recommend bringing as much sun protection as possible, such as hats, sunglasses, and creams, as it may become rather hot out on the lake (average day time temperatures are in the mid to late 20 degrees C). Strokes or sandals are recommended because you may receive wet feet, especially while climbing on and off the boat! It is a good idea to use insect repellent. A camera if you want to catch "the big fish" on film, and binoculars if you're interested in birdwatching. Light day attire like T-shirts and shorts are usually suitable, but we recommend bringing a rain jacket in case of poor weather and a sweater or light jacket in the evenings.
