Description

Thassos Island Discovery – Bareboat Week from Kavala

Kavala Marina is your launch point to a northern Aegean holiday that blends easy passages with golden beaches, pine-scented coves, and lively island towns. With complete privacy and the freedom of independent sailing, you’ll curate each moment—morning dips before the breeze fills in, unhurried lunches at anchor, and evenings wandering waterfront promenades. This bareboat experience is ideal for families, friends, and confident sailors who want flexible routing, authentic tavernas, and crowd-free anchorages in crystal-clear waters.

About Our Service in Thassos & the Kavala Gulf

Our Kavala program emphasizes comfort and choice: balanced sailing legs timed for the best light and wind, scenic anchorages with swim-and-snorkel stops, and optional detours to quiet bays that reward those who love lingering on deck. We’ll share pilotage notes for approaches, recommended lunch spots, and cultural highlights ashore—from ancient theaters to tiny chapels perched above the sea—so your week flows effortlessly.

Day 1 (Saturday, 17:00) – Kavala → Nea Peramos (~6 NM)
Board, brief, and slip lines for a gentle hop to Nea Peramos. Drop the hook by sunset, dine onboard, and settle into Aegean rhythm under a sky strewn with stars.

Day 2 (Sunday) – Nea Peramos → Skala Marion (~20 NM)
After breakfast, shape course past Ammolofoi Beach for a swim stop in turquoise shallows. By afternoon, moor in the fishing village of Skala Marion; stroll the quay, sip something cold, and enjoy unfiltered island life. Overnight in port.

Day 3 (Monday) – Skala Marion → Limenaria (~10 NM)
A relaxed coastal run delivers you to Limenaria’s lively seafront. Browse shops for local products, choose a taverna with your bow in view, or savor a quiet night on deck.

Day 4 (Tuesday) – Limenaria → Aliki Bay → Paradise Beach (~18 NM)
Swim and snorkel the ancient marble quarries of Aliki among fish-filled clefts and green-blue tones, then reposition to Paradise Beach for a postcard anchorage and a hushed night.

Day 5 (Wednesday) – Paradise Beach → Limenas (~20 NM)
Sail to the island capital, where history lines every lane. Explore the amphitheater and archaeological museum before a seafood dinner with a view of the harbor lights.

Day 6 (Thursday) – Limenas → Golden Beach (~8 NM)
Short sail, long rewards: Golden Beach is made for paddleboarding, shell-quiet mornings, and easy access to shore tavernas. Sunset brings soft light across the bay.

Day 7 (Friday) – Golden Beach → Iraklitsa → Kavala (~25 NM)
Pause at Iraklitsa for a last swim and lunch, then return to Kavala. Walk the old town ramparts beneath the castle and toast your cruise beside the harbor.

Day 8 (Saturday, 09:00) – Disembarkation
Unhurried breakfast, check-out, and farewell—your logbook now full of beaches, ruins, and warm Thassian hospitality.

The Elan 434 Impression (44 ft) is a generous, family-friendly cruiser that keeps comfort central without compromising sailing pleasure. A CD player sets the mood, while the boarding ladder makes water time effortless. For tender runs, you have both an electric outboard and a standard outboard option. Underway, rely on GPS, wind instrumentation, and a well-organized deck plan for smooth, predictable handling. It’s a proven platform for relaxed Aegean cruising.
