If there is a paradise on the planet, you will find it with us. Thousands of islands dot the blue water, providing limitless opportunities to locate precisely what you're looking for. Greece is an ideal destination due to its wealth and diversity of seas, endless kilometers of Greek coast and thousands of Greek islands, protected sea areas covering thousands of square kilometers, mild climate, high percentage of sunshine, and interesting and varying landscape. The Greek waters are regarded safe, with short distances between coasts and suitable parameters for wind intensity, ambient and sea temperatures.
The afternoon wind makes it excellent for sailing, and there are several historical sites to see. Captain Nikos will take you to calm sandy beaches in scenic caverns where you may dock for a stroll in the cool shade of an olive grove or enjoy a day of water activities like as swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, or windsurfing. Summer nights on the Ionian Sea are quite wonderful.
Our sailing region stretches from Corfu in the north to Zante (Zakynthos) in the south of the Ionian Sea.A crewed charter in the Ionian Sea is an excellent holiday option for family or friend groups, first-time charterers, and special events (honeymoon, anniversary, birthday, and so on). We provide sailing vacations to persons who are not sailors but would want to cruise in the comfort and elegance of a crewed sailing vessel.
Our crewed yacht charters are handled aboard our BAVARIA 46 cruiser, which has four double guest cabins. She is quick and comfortable, was designed for charter in the Mediterranean Sea and beyond, and is kept in impeccable condition.
The enormous cockpit serves as the yacht's central nervous system. It's a terrific spot to get involved in the activity or simply relax and enjoy the journey. When we're in port in the evening, the cockpit is a great location to unwind and watch the world go by.
The three guest accommodations on board are roomy doubles with separate entrance from the salon. They are light and bright, with decent ventilation and plenty of storage space.
The saloon is really large and pleasant. On the port side, there is a huge table with sleek and comfy seats that can accommodate 8 people for supper.
The galley is on the other side of the saloon. The chart table and navigation systems are located on the starboard side of the saloon, where you may calculate our route across the islands if you choose.
There are huge fitted beds and cushions on the foredeck where you may rest and sunbathe while watching the islands pass by. A bathing platform in the stern of the boat allows easy access to the sea, and a fresh water deck shower is nearby to wash away the salt after your swim.
The "passarelle" or gangway, which is used to get on and off the boat, is also located near the stern of La Luna. A dinghy or tender popularly known as "Elvis" (Love me Tender) is another method we may get onboard or ashore. We'd employ him if we wanted to spend the night in a secluded harbor.
Our yacht sails like a dream, with all of the command and navigation equipment you'd expect on a large contemporary yacht. She features a conventional Bermudan Sloop rig, which means she has one mast that supports two sails and all of her control lines come back to the cockpit for simple handling.
A sailing day on our boat begins with a leisurely breakfast in the port of a small hamlet where you stayed the night before (or moored in a lonely harbor if you choose to remain there). Over coffee/tea, we plot our itinerary and determine which of the many wonderful ports will be our destination later in the day. Captain Nikos is quite knowledgeable about local, historical, and cultural areas of interest, so feel free to ask as many questions as you like. He also understands every section of the Ionian seas, every little beach, cove, and cave, so you can leave everything in his hands and rest.
You may wake up slowly, admiring the village life and the stunning landscape of hills and mountains all around. You may either go sightseeing or go shopping.
The morning continues with a sail to a secluded bay where we will anchor to swim, snorkel, try out our kayak, explore the magic of the underwater world, go to the beach, sunbathe on our specially made mattresses to soak up the warm Greek sun, or sit at the cockpit in the shade of the tent and read a book or surf the internet using our WIFI access. You may also rest or use the dinghy to explore uninhabited beaches and islands.
Kids love sailing on our yacht because they can spend hours playing in the water, exploring the sea life, or running on the beach. Captain Nikos is unique in that he organizes various team toys that delight them.
Lunch is provided at the cockpit at 1 o'clock in the afternoon. Lesley's delectable meals, prepared using fresh local ingredients, have become one of the highlights of our sailing excursions!
Later in the afternoon, as the Ionian breezes pick up, you will witness the yacht's natural performance as the wind alone propels us to the evening's port of call. Captain Nikos can give you with an outstanding racing sailing experience depending on the winds.
He will skilfully dock the boat, and this will be the time to unwind and have "Sundowners" (cocktails served in the cockpit) while we reminisce on the day's sailing highlights. You will later get ashore to explore the small harbor and select a bar or restaurant for supper. We have a great range of local pubs for you to try, and we will recommend some of the best places to eat based on our expertise of the region.
As previously said, we only design a broad schedule at the start of your vacation, so we will review the alternatives for the next day every day in the afternoon.
