BOOKING:Confirm by paying a 50% deposit, with the remaining balance required four weeks before departure. Send us your crew information two weeks in advance, and we'll offer boarding information for your unforgettable Greek sailing vacation.
CANCELLATION POLICY:Clients have the option to choose charter cancellation insurance through UNIQA, our partner. We reserve the right to refund cancellation fees only if the yacht is chartered to another party for the same period and conditions. If the charterer ends the charter prematurely, no proportional refund of the charter price is provided. In the event of yacht charter cancellation, the following fees apply:
• Cancellations made 90 days or more prior to embarkation will incur a retention fee of 350 euros.
• Cancellations made between 89 & 60 days prior to embarkation will result in a retention of 30% of the total charter price.
• Cancellations made 59 days or less prior to embarkation will result in a retention of 100% of the total charter price.
CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT:Embarkation/Check-in:
• Charters start and end on Saturdays.
• Embarkation begins at 17:00h on the first day (Saturday).
• Yacht readiness might allow an earlier check-in (see Prestige Pack).
• Skipper, co-skipper, and Discovery Yachting rep conduct check-in.
• Safety briefing provided, offering navigation and yacht instructions.
• Skipper signs the inventory list upon embarkation.
Disembarkation/Check-out:
• Yacht must be in port by 18:00h on the day before charter ends.
• This allows time for inspection and repairs, ensuring yacht readiness.
• Check-out commences at 09:00h on the last day (Saturday).
• Diver performs a hull and steering system check.
• Only skipper and Discovery Yachting member aboard during check-out.
• Passengers and luggage off the yacht during check-out.
• Post-checkout, the charterer provides valuable feedback through a review form.
SECURITY DEPOSIT:• All yachts are insured, including third-party coverage.
• Insurance covers damages or losses beyond the security deposit.
• Security deposit is refundable and covers potential damages.
• Charter crew leaves a security deposit, refundable if no damage.
• Cost of repair or parts deducted in case of damage.
• Deposit excludes fuel, water, end-cleaning, port fees, etc.
• Optional extras and gross negligence not covered.
• Security deposit insurance available through UNIQA.
GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS:• Technical Assistance: We're your first call for technical issues. Our wide network of trusted associates and technicians across Greece ensures swift support for any problems you encounter during your charter.
• Gratuity Tip: You have the discretion to tip staff or crew as a gratuity if you're satisfied with the service. It's up to you, and often, the warmth of Greek hospitality leads to lasting friendships.
• Nausea and Itinerary: Motion sickness varies. Medication and calm-water itineraries can help. We aim to make your experience comfortable and enjoyable, avoiding extreme conditions when possible.
• Provisions: Supermarkets are usually accessible near marinas. If you prefer, pre-arrange provisions by sending us a list in advance. We can have them ready on your yacht for convenience.
• Pets: Typically, pets aren't allowed on board to maintain cleanliness and yacht condition. We're open to discussing special cases.
• Sailing Experience: To charter a yacht in Greece, two crew members need sailing experience. At least one should hold a sailing certificate authorized by their country. If a co-Skipper lacks certification, an official sailing ability declaration is required before embarkation.
Damage Deposit is fully refunded to you in 72 hours of your checkout, subject to any breakage/damage claims by the Operator/Owner.
