Description

Three days of vacation on a yacht equal to a week ashore. Life on our sailing boat will transfer you to another universe, one where time, body and space feel completely different, like in a timeless dream.

Having 3 days available, we can plan various programmes depending on what you like. We will propose two choices of trips that will make you feel like you are somewhere very far away. We are lucky that two heavens on earth, the virgin Diapontia islands, almost unknown to most, and the cosmopolitan Paxos – Antipaxos, are very easily accessible, being just a few miles off the coast of Corfu.

Describing these extraordinary islands may sound redundant, as they are widely recognized as one of Greece's most renowned and beloved summer destinations. However, what sets them apart is that despite their fame, they retain their exotic beauty, a testament to their inherent grace. Life in Paxos exudes elegance and charm.

Departing from Gouvia Marina, our journey will take us southward, offering scenic views of Corfu town's picturesque beauty with its famous Fortresses serving as a backdrop to romantic mansions. Along the verdant coastline, we'll encounter charming fishing ports like Benitses and Petritis, where you can board the yacht, saving precious time for our trip to Paxos.

Paxos is a captivating island, an endless olive grove floating atop crystal-clear blue waters. Its eastern side boasts pebbled bays and lush fjords, while the western side features dramatic cliffs and awe-inspiring caves.

As we approach the northern village of Lakka, its turquoise bay attracts numerous yachts each summer. Sailing southward, we'll encounter the charming and romantic harbor of Loggos, known for its delightful cafes and exquisite tavernas. Further south lies Gaios, the capital of Paxi, hidden within a lush fjord pattern. During the summer, this area comes alive with sailing boats and luxurious yachts vying for a spot in the verdant channel. The village pulsates with nightlife, offering bustling bars, cafes, and shops by the sea.

Our proposal is to spend one night in the vibrant Gaios, teeming with life, and another night in the enchanting Loggos, reflecting local traditions in its miniature finesse. Paxos also hosts the renowned Paxos Festival, attracting international music stars. Depending on your interests and the timing of your trip, we can provide information on the festival's offerings, including music performances, art exhibitions, and workshops.

Swimming around Loggos and Gaios is a treat, offering a choice between secluded coves and lively organized beaches with beach bars. However, the true gems of the sea lie on the western side of Paxos, with its breathtaking cliffs, well-known and hidden caves, and emerald-green waters. Equally legendary is Antipaxos, a small island adorned with vineyards, cypress, pistachio, myrtle, and pine trees, along with a few summer houses. Its world-famous turquoise beaches like Voutoumi and Vrika are simply mesmerizing.

If weather permits, we can explore unknown, unspoiled bays far from the tourist crowds, highlighting the impact of human activity on the environment and the precious gift of Nature's purity.

Heading back to Corfu, you'll carry with you the vivid hues of the olive trees and the dazzling turquoise waters. Paxos and Antipaxos are not just the jewels of the Ionian Sea; they are its most artistically crafted treasures.

Considering your interests, this voyage promises swimming in pristine waters, discovering impressive beaches and sea caves, hiking through picturesque villages, savoring delectable cuisine, relishing olive oil and wine, and experiencing cultural events, classical music, jazz, and vibrant nightlife.
