Description

Discover the Pacific coast of South America aboard an extraordinary 106-metre Oceanco sailing yacht on a private 20-day voyage from Valparaiso to Buenaventura. Travelling north through Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia, this ambitious itinerary brings together desert-fringed ports, historic cities, protected islands, wildlife-rich waters and remote coastal environments. The yacht's remarkable scale, advanced sailing technology and extensive leisure facilities create an exceptionally comfortable platform for exploring four distinctive Pacific nations without sacrificing privacy, sophistication or personalized service.

About Our Fully Crewed Pacific Charter Service

Your journey begins in Valparaiso, one of Chile's most celebrated maritime gateways. Its established port facilities, fascinating seafaring heritage and strategic position on the central Pacific coast provide a practical and atmospheric starting point for this extensive private voyage. Professional embarkation support helps guests settle aboard comfortably while personal preferences, dining requests, accommodation arrangements and special requirements are carefully coordinated.

A professional complement of 27 crew members supports the charter across navigation, safety, housekeeping, culinary service, accommodation and personalized guest care. The high crew-to-guest service standard makes it possible to deliver attentive hospitality throughout demanding offshore passages as well as port visits and island anchorages. Every element can be adapted to the group's expectations, subject to navigational feasibility, weather, port permissions and local access requirements.

Your 20-Day Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia Itinerary

Day 1 - Valparaiso, Chile: Board the yacht at Valparaiso's historic waterfront, meet the crew and become familiar with the extensive onboard facilities. Following safety preparations and final provisioning, leave the Chilean port behind and cruise north along the rugged central coastline. The first evening introduces the yacht's refined dining and hospitality as the voyage continues overnight toward Coquimbo.

Day 2 - Coquimbo, Chile: Arrive in this characterful fishing and maritime centre, with time to explore the harbour, nearby beaches or neighbouring La Serena. Guests may experience local architecture and coastal culture or relax aboard before the yacht departs in the evening. An extended northern passage begins toward the dramatic Atacama coast and Arica.

Day 3 - At Sea: Follow the strikingly arid coastline of northern Chile as the yacht makes steady progress through Pacific waters. This uninterrupted navigation day provides time to enjoy the swimming pool, deck spaces, wellness facilities, cinema and social areas. Personalized meals and attentive service accompany the offshore passage toward Chile's northern frontier.

Day 4 - Arica, Chile: Reach Chile's northernmost coastal city and explore its historic centre, the commanding Morro de Arica and the surrounding desert landscape. The contrast between the Pacific Ocean and the Atacama environment gives this stop a compelling identity. Return aboard for an overnight international passage toward Ilo in southern Peru.

Day 5 - Ilo, Peru: Enter Peruvian waters and visit a compact port surrounded by stark coastal scenery. Local markets, waterfront districts and elevated viewpoints offer an introduction to southern Peru's maritime character. After the day's discoveries, enjoy dinner aboard while the yacht resumes its northbound course toward the Paracas Peninsula.

Day 6 - Paracas, Peru: Experience the remarkable meeting point between desert and ocean around the Paracas National Reserve. Depending on conditions and permissions, tender excursions may explore sheltered bays and wildlife areas along the peninsula. Swimming, photography and quiet relaxation can be incorporated before the yacht proceeds overnight toward Callao.

Day 7 - Callao and Lima, Peru: Arrive at Peru's principal maritime gateway for a full day combining Callao with the cultural attractions of nearby Lima. Historic districts, acclaimed restaurants, museums and architectural landmarks provide numerous possibilities for a personally arranged shore programme. Return to the yacht for evening departure toward northern Peru.

Day 8 - Salaverry and Trujillo, Peru: From Salaverry, travel inland toward the archaeological heritage surrounding Trujillo. Ancient Moche sites and significant cultural landscapes provide a fascinating counterpoint to the maritime journey. Rejoin the yacht later in the day and continue north toward Paita while enjoying a relaxed evening aboard.

Day 9 - Paita, Peru: Visit this important northern Peruvian port and discover its waterfront, local maritime culture and coastal surroundings. The stop presents a quieter view of Peru before the yacht crosses toward the national frontier and the Gulf of Guayaquil. Departure later in the day begins another measured international passage.

Day 10 - At Sea, Peru to Ecuador: Cruise offshore from northern Peru toward Ecuador, crossing the broader Gulf of Guayaquil region. The sea day allows guests to unwind in the hammam, sauna or massage room, exercise in the gym, watch a film or enjoy the spacious exterior decks. Overnight navigation positions the yacht for arrival at Puerto Bolívar.

Day 11 - Puerto Bolívar, Ecuador: Enter Ecuador through its principal southern maritime gateway. An excursion may incorporate nearby Machala, regional landscapes and local cultural experiences before guests return to the yacht. The route then advances north into Ecuadorian waters toward the wildlife and marine environments surrounding Isla de la Plata.

Day 12 - Isla de la Plata, Ecuador: Discover an island known for dramatic cliffs, seabirds and productive surrounding waters. Subject to local regulations and sea conditions, enjoy guided tender exploration, swimming or snorkelling. An anchorage near the island provides an atmospheric conclusion to the day before cruising onward toward Manta.

Day 13 - Manta, Ecuador: Spend time in Ecuador's important central Pacific port, where local markets, coastal sightseeing and seafood dining can be incorporated into the day. Guests may alternate their shore visit with watersports or relaxation aboard. The yacht later continues toward the more sheltered setting of Bahía de Caráquez.

Day 14 - Bahía de Caráquez, Ecuador: Enter calmer coastal waters for an unhurried day beside beaches, waterfront areas and natural surroundings. This stop introduces a relaxed tempo before the longer international passage ahead. Return aboard for sunset hospitality and begin navigating toward the Ecuador-Colombia maritime boundary.

Day 15 - At Sea, Ecuador to Colombia: Cross north into Colombian waters while enjoying a full day aboard. The yacht's generous interior lounges, outdoor cinema, pool, jacuzzi and wellness amenities make the substantial passage part of the experience rather than simply transit. The crew continues overnight toward Colombia's southern Pacific coast.

Day 16 - Tumaco, Colombia: Arrive at Colombia's southern Pacific gateway and encounter the region's distinctive coastal identity and culture. A carefully coordinated shore visit can be combined with lunch or relaxation aboard. Later, follow the Colombian coast toward the biologically rich waters surrounding Gorgona Island.

Day 17 - Gorgona Island, Colombia: Explore the vicinity of this protected, rainforest-covered Pacific island. Subject to permits and environmental rules, tender excursions may reveal selected coastal areas, while suitable conditions can allow swimming, snorkelling or wildlife observation. Spend the evening near this remote destination before continuing north.

Day 18 - Malpelo Region, Colombia: Approach the offshore waters associated with Malpelo, depending on weather, permits and local restrictions. This isolated marine region is internationally recognized for its powerful ocean environment and wildlife. After an appropriately managed period offshore, resume navigation toward Buenaventura.

Day 19 - Buenaventura, Colombia: Arrive at Colombia's principal Pacific port and enjoy the surrounding region's cuisine, waterfront character and cultural atmosphere. Guests may select a private shore programme or spend their final full day enjoying the yacht's facilities. A special dinner aboard offers an elegant celebration of the four-country journey.

Day 20 - Buenaventura, Colombia: Wake in Colombian waters for breakfast and final onboard arrangements. Disembarkation marks the completion of a remarkable northbound voyage spanning central Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia. Transfers and onward travel requirements can be coordinated in advance for an orderly conclusion.
