7-Days Sailing Itinerary in the Cyclades from Mykonos aboard Astrea 42 Maestro

Embark on an unforgettable sailing journey from the lively island of Mykonos, setting course for the charming islands of Paros, Sifnos, Serifos, and Syros. This 7-day private bareboat charter offers the perfect blend of traditional Cycladic charm, scenic landscapes, turquoise waters, and authentic Greek culture. From vibrant fishing villages and historic towns to quiet bays and cultural landmarks, every day of this itinerary delivers a fresh perspective on the beauty of the Aegean.

About Our Service in the Cyclades
Your voyage begins at Mykonos Marina, a prime base for exploring the surrounding islands. Designed for those seeking flexibility and adventure, this sailing itinerary balances bustling island towns with serene anchorages. Guests have the freedom to explore charming villages, swim in turquoise bays, and experience authentic Cycladic hospitality while enjoying the comfort and privacy of their own yacht.

Day 1 – Mykonos Check-In (17:00)
Arrive at the marina in the late afternoon to board your yacht and meet your skipper (if arranged). After a safety briefing, settle into your cabin and stroll through Mykonos Town. Discover boutique shops, art galleries, and the iconic windmills. Dine in the romantic Little Venice district, where colorful buildings hug the waterfront and the sunset paints the Aegean in vivid hues. Overnight at the marina or a nearby sheltered anchorage.

Day 2 – Mykonos → Paros
Sail across the Aegean to Paros, anchoring in Naoussa Bay for swimming and paddleboarding. Explore Parikia’s old town with its winding alleys and historic Church of Panagia Ekatontapiliani. In the evening, enjoy Paros’ lively atmosphere, sampling fresh seafood and wine at a waterfront taverna before experiencing the nightlife of Naoussa.

Day 3 – Paros → Sifnos
Depart Paros for Sifnos, renowned for its elegant villages and culinary traditions. Pause at a quiet cove en route for swimming and snorkeling. Once in Sifnos, explore Apollonia with its stone-paved alleys, boutique shops, and local cafés. Visit Kastro, perched on a cliff, and enjoy panoramic sea views. Dinner in a traditional Sifnian taverna introduces you to flavors like chickpea soup and honey-sweet desserts.

Day 4 – Sifnos → Serifos
Set sail for Serifos, a quieter and less developed island known for its natural beauty and unspoiled beaches. Wander through Chora, a hilltop village with narrow streets and sweeping views. The relaxed pace of Serifos is perfect for enjoying a sunset dinner onboard or at a seaside restaurant, before a peaceful night under the stars.

Day 5 – Serifos → Syros
Cruise to Syros, the cultural capital of the Cyclades. Anchor in Ermoupoli, famed for its neoclassical architecture, historic Town Hall, and vibrant markets. Stroll Miaouli Square, explore elegant streets, and if possible, attend a performance at the Apollo Theater. Dinner in town offers a chance to sample both traditional Greek cuisine and modern culinary delights before returning to the yacht.

Day 6 – Syros → Mykonos
On your return to Mykonos, pause at Rineia’s untouched shores for swimming and snorkeling. Arrive back at Mykonos Marina in the afternoon, with time for last-minute shopping or exploring. Enjoy a farewell dinner at a seaside restaurant, raising a toast to your Cycladic sailing adventure.

Day 7 – Mykonos Leisure Day
Spend your last full day at leisure on Mykonos. Swim in nearby bays, explore hidden beaches, or stroll through town to pick up souvenirs. Relax with a leisurely lunch and a final sunset from the deck, savoring the unique charm of this iconic island.

Day 8 – Mykonos Check-Out (09:00)
After breakfast, disembark at 09:00. Say goodbye to your yacht and crew, leaving with unforgettable memories of your week-long sailing experience through the Cyclades.
