Description
When the goal is deep relaxation, less distance can mean more enjoyment. This Baiona-based bareboat plan keeps daily passages short and the focus squarely on easy anchorages, sandy beaches, and lively but accessible marina towns. With generous time ashore in Sanxenxo and Combarro – and two unhurried nights among the Cíes Islands and Aldán Bay – it’s a soothing circuit for families, first-time crews, or anyone who believes the most luxurious thing on holiday is time well spent.
About Our Service Along the Pontevedra & Vigo Rías
Board on Saturday at 17:00 with a smooth, supportive handover. We remain available 24/7 to answer route or technical questions, and you can add a skipper, provisioning, or toys like SUPs by request. The cadence this week favors late breakfasts, daylight swims, and marina evenings that are steps from dinner reservations.
Day 1 – Saturday | Baiona Arrival
Join the yacht at Monte Real Club de Yates de Baiona, get comfortable, and enjoy dinner in town. Overnight onboard in the marina’s calm basin.
Day 2 – Sunday | Baiona → Cíes Islands (10 nm | ~2 hrs)
A gentle sail to the national park. Beach time, snorkel sessions, and a sunset walk define the day. Sleep at anchor with the soft swell tapping under the transom.
Day 3 – Monday | Cíes → Aldán Bay (12 nm | ~2.5 hrs)
Shift to Aldán’s sheltered waters. Kayak along pine-backed shores or idle with a book in the cockpit. Evening barbecue encouraged. Overnight onboard in tranquil conditions.
Day 4 – Tuesday | Aldán → Sanxenxo (12 nm | ~2.5 hrs)
Aim for Galicia’s chic resort town. Secure a berth, then sample beach clubs, boutiques, and polished seafood restaurants. After dark, the marina hums with a friendly buzz.
Day 5 – Wednesday | Sanxenxo → Combarro (6 nm | ~1 hr)
A short reposition to Combarro reveals one of Galicia’s most photogenic waterfronts, where hórreos line the tide. Wander cobbled lanes, taste Albariño, and let the village’s rhythm set yours. Overnight in the marina.
Day 6 – Thursday | Combarro → Cíes Islands (20 nm | ~4 hrs)
Return to the Cíes for a final island night. Swim one last time, hike to a lookout, and savor the blue hour as the anchorage settles into silence.
Day 7 – Friday | Cíes → Baiona (10 nm | ~2 hrs)
Cruise back to Baiona by 17:00 for refueling and check-out. Enjoy a last onboard evening in the marina with views of Monterreal Castle before Saturday morning departure.
