About Our Service in Burgas Bay, Cape Akin & the Islands
Departing from Marina Sarafovo around 9:00 or 10:00 AM, guests are welcomed aboard by a professional skipper who handles all navigation, leaving you free to enjoy the day ahead. The tour begins with a comfortable sail through Burgas Bay, making way toward one of its most famous sites — St. Anastasia Island. This culturally significant island, home to a former monastery, now features a charming museum, lighthouse, and a seafront café with panoramic views. Guests can disembark for exploration (entry fee: 3 leva per person), or stay aboard and soak in the scenery from the deck with a drink in hand.
Our next stop takes us further south along the coast to the tranquil bay of Cape Akin. This hidden treasure, flanked by natural cliffs and calm turquoise waters, is a favorite among locals for its seclusion and beauty. The yacht will anchor here, giving you ample time for swimming, snorkeling, or simply lounging on deck. A light onboard lunch or snack may be enjoyed here, surrounded by serene sea views and untouched wilderness.
After a refreshing pause at Cape Akin, we resume our sail toward the highlight of the trip — the islands of St. Ivan and St. Peter, just off the coast of Sozopol. These wild and uninhabited islands offer a raw natural experience. Known for their rugged coastlines, bird colonies, and archaeological finds, the islands are a delight for nature lovers, birdwatchers, and photographers. Guests can swim in the clear surrounding waters, explore by dinghy, or — for the culinary adventurers — even gather fresh mussels directly from the rocks. On request, our skipper can prepare the mussels on board, simply cooked with sea salt and lemon for a true taste of the Black Sea.
As the day winds down, we begin a relaxing cruise back toward Marina Sarafovo. If you chose a later start time, you may enjoy the magical golden-hour lighting as the sun dips behind the Burgas skyline — a romantic and serene ending to your coastal journey.
