Datça/Muğla, Turkey
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to take command of your own chartered yacht with a group, your family or friends in the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean, Mediterranean, or Hawaii? If so, then the IYT International Bareboat Skipper qualification is the one for you. This qualification will allow you to safely and comfortably take command of a recreational vessel < 24m (power or sail), in daylight hours, in sight of land and in fair weather. This qualification is the legal equivalent of the RYA day skipper and can be transferred to an ICC certificate if you prefer. Some European yacht charter operators may require an International Certificate of Competency (ICC) for chartering and it is therefore a good idea to add this to your licences. The IYT is generally required for the inland and coastal waters of the Eastern Mediterranean countries, whilst the ICC is recommended for Northern Europe, France and Spain. A IYT certification is also MCA approved. If you have any problems drop us an email and we will assist you to transfer one certification for the other.
