Description
This route is for guests who want the Ionian to feel bold and expansive - not only quiet bays and short hops, but dramatic coastlines, longer sailing legs, and the kind of “big day” destinations that appear in travel dreams. Starting from Lefkas Marina, your skipper-led Lagoon 51 catamaran itinerary takes you south toward Kefalonia and Zakynthos, then back through Ithaca and Meganisi for the perfect Ionian finale. It’s a 7-night charter with a professional skipper managing navigation, anchoring, and port procedures, and a hostess/cook supporting comfort, assistance, and light meal preparation - so the experience stays premium and relaxed even when the route becomes more adventurous.
With a skippered charter, distance does not mean difficulty. Your skipper handles timing, weather decisions, and safety planning, choosing the best departure windows and recommending swim stops that break longer legs into enjoyable experiences. Guests get the reward of reaching iconic places without the stress of “how do we get there,” “where do we moor,” or “what if the wind changes.” This is exactly what makes a crewed Ionian week so appealing: you stay fully independent and private, but professionally supported every day.
About our service in Lefkada and the southern Ionian
The week is organized through our Lefkas Marina base with a structured check-in, yacht orientation, and safety briefing. Your skipper provides a route briefing at embarkation, including must-see highlights, recommended bays, and ideal sailing times. Navigation charts, pilot books, and Ionian guides support daily planning, while 24/7 technical and emergency assistance remains available throughout. Linens, towels, and onboard essentials are included, and optional upgrades such as chef service, Wi-Fi, SUPs, and early check-in can be requested.
Day 1 - Embarkation at Marina Lefkas (17:00)
Arrive at 17:00 and settle into your Lagoon 51. After meeting the skipper and hostess and completing the orientation, enjoy a relaxed first night in Lefkas Town. The waterfront is ideal for a slow dinner and a calm start before the week’s first sailing day.
Day 2 - Lefkas to Vasiliki
A comfortable 2-hour sail brings you to Vasiliki, a bay known for clear water and a laid-back seaside feel. The day can be as active or as slow as you like: relax aboard, swim near the yacht, or visit beaches such as Agiofili. Vasiliki is also a great “warm-up” destination before the longer southern legs, offering a calm evening with seaside cafés and gentle island energy.
Day 3 - Vasiliki to Agia Efimia (Kefalonia)
Today you cross toward Kefalonia on a 4-5 hour sail. Your skipper times the passage for comfort, selecting a steady course and recommending swim breaks if conditions allow. Agia Efimia is a charming harbor that feels welcoming after a longer leg. Nearby bays invite an afternoon swim, and the region’s scenery builds toward Kefalonia’s most famous coastline. If timing and conditions suit, your skipper can include a swim stop near the waters off Myrtos Beach, one of Greece’s most iconic vistas.
Day 4 - Agia Efimia to Agios Nikolaos (Zakynthos)
This is one of the longer sailing days at 5-6 hours, rewarded by Zakynthos’ unique character. You arrive at Agios Nikolaos after a scenic crossing. Beaches like Xigia add local flavor, and the evening here is calm and authentic, with a quiet harbor atmosphere that contrasts beautifully with the dramatic landscapes you’ll explore next.
Day 5 - Zakynthos exploration (Navagio and Blue Caves)
The day that guests remember first: a cruise around northern Zakynthos to visit the world-famous Navagio Beach and the Blue Caves. Your skipper positions the yacht for the best views and safest approach, planning swim moments in brilliant turquoise water. Even for travelers who have seen photos, the scale and color are striking in person. After the sightseeing and swimming, you return to a calmer rhythm onboard - sunset on the flybridge, dinner, and the sea turning darker and deeper around you.
Day 6 - Zakynthos to Ithaca (Kioni)
A 5-hour sail takes you back toward Ithaca, arriving in the peaceful village of Kioni. Ithaca feels different from Zakynthos - softer, quieter, more intimate. Kioni is known for its charming waterfront and relaxed evenings. Swim at small pebbled beaches, enjoy a slow dinner ashore, and let the week’s pace settle back into island calm.
Day 7 - Ithaca to Meganisi to Lefkas Marina
Sail 4-5 hours with a refreshing stop at Meganisi for one last Ionian swim in sheltered turquoise water. This final day is structured to feel like a proper finale rather than a rushed return: time for a farewell bay, time for photos, and a final sail into Lefkas Marina for your last night. Many guests choose a final celebratory dinner in Lefkas Town to close the week on a high note.
Day 8 - Disembarkation at 09:00
Disembark at 09:00 after a smooth check-out, leaving with a week that combines iconic “bucket list” moments with the comfort and ease of a professionally managed charter.
