Description
If your idea of a perfect Greek sailing week includes colorful waterfront towns, luminous turquoise lagoons, and anchorages that look unreal in the afternoon light, this northern Ionian route delivers. Departing from Lefkas Marina, you spend 7 nights aboard a professionally crewed Lagoon 51 catamaran with a skipper handling all sailing operations and a hostess/cook keeping the onboard rhythm comfortable, organized, and relaxed. The result is the kind of holiday where you wake up in a new bay, swim before breakfast, enjoy unhurried lunches, and still have the energy for evenings ashore - because the “work” of sailing is not on your shoulders.
The Ionian Sea is ideal for a week like this. Waters are typically calm and protected, distances are manageable, and the coastline constantly changes character: lively ports one night, quiet coves the next. What makes a skippered charter different is how smoothly everything flows. Mooring, anchoring, route adjustments, and port formalities are handled by your skipper, while you focus on the experience. If you want a beach day, you get a beach day. If you want an early start to arrive in a bay before the afternoon breeze, the skipper takes care of timing. It’s private, flexible, and genuinely stress-free.
About our service in Lefkada and the northern Ionian
Your week begins with an efficient check-in at Lefkas Marina, a detailed yacht orientation, and a safety briefing that includes the route plan, highlights, and options for personalizing each day. The skipper uses navigation charts, pilot books, and Ionian sailing guides to choose the best daily legs, and you have 24/7 technical support throughout the charter. Linens, towels, galley equipment, and essential onboard amenities are included. Optional add-ons such as chef upgrade, Wi-Fi, SUP boards, and early check-in can be arranged on request, depending on availability.
Day 1 - Embarkation at Marina Lefkas (17:00)
Arrive at 17:00, meet your skipper and hostess, and settle into your cabins. After the briefing and orientation, the evening is yours. Lefkas Town is lively and welcoming - an easy place for a first dinner, a waterfront walk, and a calm first night onboard as the crew prepares for the week ahead.
Day 2 - Lefkas to Preveza to Parga
You begin the week sailing north with a 4-5 hour cruising day that stays comfortable thanks to the Ionian’s protected waters. A stop in Preveza gives you a taste of mainland Greek charm before continuing to Parga, one of the most photogenic towns in the region. Here the coastline rises dramatically, and the town glows in the evening light. Swim at Valtos Beach, then explore the enchanting lanes and consider a visit to the Venetian Castle for views over the bay. Dinner ashore in Parga is a highlight on its own - lively, scenic, and full of atmosphere.
Day 3 - Parga to Lakka (Paxos)
A 3-hour sail takes you to Paxos and its famous emerald-toned waters. Lakka is one of those bays that makes guests pause the first time they see it: calm, intensely colored sea with an easy anchorage feel. The day is made for swimming, snorkeling, and paddleboarding if conditions allow. In the evening, waterfront tavernas create a relaxed dining scene where you can linger without watching the clock.
Day 4 - Lakka to Gaios (Paxos Town)
Today is a short 1-2 hour cruise along Paxos’ coastline, allowing plenty of time for coves, photos, and swim breaks. Gaios feels elegant and charming, with boutique shops, narrow lanes, and a calm harbor setting that makes evenings easy. This is the night for a slow stroll ashore, a dinner in town, and a relaxed return to the yacht under warm Ionian skies.
Day 5 - Gaios to Antipaxos (Voutoumi Beach and Blue Caves)
Antipaxos is the “postcard day.” You head to Voutoumi Beach for bright turquoise water that looks almost tropical, ideal for snorkeling and floating swims. The route also includes a visit to Blue Caves, where light and water create unforgettable color. Depending on conditions and your preference, you may return to Paxos for the night or enjoy an overnight anchor experience - quiet, private, and unforgettable when the weather is settled.
Day 6 - Antipaxos to Syvota (Blue Lagoon)
A 2-3 hour sail brings you to Syvota, with time and flexibility to enjoy swimming, lounging, and water toys along the way. Syvota’s Blue Lagoon is a famous stop - clear water, calm conditions, and a perfect setting for SUP time or a relaxed afternoon afloat. The evening in Syvota is easy and friendly, with a laid-back marina atmosphere and good dining options ashore.
Day 7 - Syvota to Lefkas Marina (optional swim stops)
The return leg is longer but calm at around 5 hours, with optional swim stops chosen by your skipper based on timing, conditions, and your preferred pace. Arriving back at Lefkas Marina, you enjoy your final night onboard with the convenience of town nearby - a great moment for a “last dinner” celebration and a gentle close to the week.
Day 8 - Disembarkation at 09:00
Disembark at 09:00 with a smooth check-out, leaving the Ionian coastline behind but taking home a week of vivid water colors, charming towns, and truly effortless cruising.
