Embark on a memorable sailing escape from the vibrant heart of Sicily. Departing Palermo, this private skippered charter blends the island’s cultural elegance with the wild volcanic drama of the Aeolian archipelago. Your journey begins at a modern, well-serviced marina that streamlines embarkation and provisioning, making your first afternoon effortless. With a professional skipper at the helm and a versatile Excess 11 catamaran as your base, you will explore Cefalù’s medieval lanes, soak in Vulcano’s geothermal energy, swim in luminous bays off Lipari and Panarea, and sip Malvasia in Salina - before looping back to Palermo with a head full of Mediterranean horizons.

About Our Service in Palermo, Cefalù and the Aeolian Islands

This itinerary is curated for travelers who want the perfect balance of discovery and downtime. Your skipper handles navigation, moorings and daily safety so you can focus on swims, shoreside strolls and Sicilian cuisine. We can tailor the pace, lunch stops and evening anchorages to your preferences - quiet coves for sunset swims, lively harbors for aperitivo, or scenic passages to log satisfying miles under sail. Optional add-ons - from early check-in and airport transfers to advance provisioning - keep things seamless from the moment you arrive.

Day 1 - Palermo (from 17:00): Arrive at the centrally located marina, complete check-in and the yacht briefing, then wander Palermo’s historic center for Baroque facades, bustling markets and a classic Sicilian dinner. Overnight onboard in Palermo.

Day 2 - Palermo to Cefalù (33 NM): Slide northeast along Sicily’s north coast to Cefalù. Anchor near the old harbor for swims off golden sand before stepping ashore to explore narrow lanes and the Norman Cathedral. Hike La Rocca for sweeping views over medieval rooftops and cerulean sea.

Day 3 - Cefalù to Vulcano (50 NM): An invigorating passage carries you into the Aeolian Islands. The silhouette of Vulcano rises ahead, with craters and sulfur vents confirming you have entered volcanic country. Anchor in Porto di Levante; unwind on black sand beaches or hike the Gran Cratere. Soothe tired legs with a natural mud bath.

Day 4 - Vulcano to Lipari to Panarea (16 NM total): A relaxed hop to Lipari sets up a swim stop and a short stroll around Lipari Town. Continue to chic Panarea for translucent water and the amphitheater cove of Cala Junco. Dine ashore at stylish restaurants or savor a quiet dinner on deck beneath a sky carpeted in stars.

Day 5 - Panarea to Salina (12 NM): Sail west to emerald Salina, famed for capers and Malvasia dessert wine. Choose between Santa Marina and Lingua; sample local vintages, hike Monte Fossa delle Felci or snorkel along rocky coves where the water gleams turquoise.

Day 6 - Salina to Filicudi (15 NM): Make way to Filicudi, a raw, romantic island with minimal development. Circle La Canna rock by dinghy, slip into the Grotta del Bue Marino and drop anchor near Pecorini a Mare for a barefoot evening in true island time.

Day 7 - Filicudi to Palermo (62 NM): Weigh anchor early for the satisfying blue-water run back to Palermo. Settle into your glide and let Sicily’s north coast unfold off your beam. Arrive by 18:00 and choose a final dinner ashore or a celebratory meal onboard.

Day 8 - Palermo Disembarkation (09:00): After breakfast, say farewell to your skipper and step ashore with the sights and scents of the Aeolians lingering long after the lines are cast off.
