About This Charter Experience: A Journey Through Remote Dodecanese Gems

This 7-day bareboat charter is crafted for confident sailors seeking true seclusion and authenticity. The route explores a lesser-traveled path from Rhodes to Halki, Karpathos, Kasos, and Astypalaia—remote islands famed for wild landscapes, peaceful ports, and cultural richness. Return via Nisyros and Symi for volcanic wonders and pastel-hued harbors, culminating in a memorable final evening in the heart of Rhodes Town.

Day-by-Day Sailing Itinerary:

Day 1: Rhodes – Halki (35 NM)
Your voyage begins with a scenic sail to Halki, a quiet island of pastel-colored houses and warm local hospitality. Anchor at Emporio Harbor and enjoy a relaxed seaside dinner. Pondamos Beach and the viewpoint from the island’s Clock Tower offer excellent introductions to Halki’s serene pace.

Day 2: Halki – Karpathos (35 NM)
Venture south to Karpathos, known for its rugged cliffs and traditional villages. Anchor in Pigadia, the island’s main port, and consider an excursion to the mountaintop village of Olympos for an authentic taste of island heritage amid stunning scenery.

Day 3: Karpathos – Kasos (15 NM)
Continue to the remote island of Kasos, where life moves slowly and the charm is in the details. Dock at Fri Port and explore Agia Marina or the surrounding countryside. With quiet tavernas and an authentic island feel, Kasos is a hidden gem few experience.

Day 4: Kasos – Astypalaia (40 NM)
Cruise to Astypalaia, a romantic, butterfly-shaped island that bridges the Dodecanese and Cyclades. Anchor in Skala and climb to the Venetian castle above Chora, where whitewashed houses overlook the Aegean. It’s an ideal spot for a tranquil evening beneath the stars.

Day 5: Astypalaia – Nisyros (38 NM)
Head back north toward Nisyros, a unique island known for its massive volcanic caldera. Anchor at Pali, a quiet alternative to the main port. Take a dip at Lies Beach and revisit the island’s fascinating blend of natural and cultural intrigue.

Day 6: Nisyros – Symi (32 NM)
Continue to Symi, with a stop at Panormitis Bay for a visit to the impressive monastery. Later, moor in Gialos Harbor and stroll among neoclassical mansions, artisan boutiques, and charming cafes overlooking the water.

Day 7: Symi – Rhodes (23 NM)
Conclude your journey with a relaxed sail back to Rhodes. Pause for a final swim at Anthony Quinn Bay or Ladiko Beach before returning to Marina Rhodes. Spend your last evening enjoying the medieval magic of Rhodes Old Town, a place steeped in history and vibrant with life.
