We provide a personalized trip to Catalina that combines leisure, exploration, scuba diving, and snorkeling. For those who are more brave, there is the option of scuba diving on this tour, or everyone may choose to see tropical fish from the surface while wearing fins, a mask, and a snorkel.
Everyone will have the opportunity to take in the Dominican Republic's most stunning coral reefs with friends or family. Everything is up to your discretion, including how often you want to go diving, the number of snorkelers and scuba divers, the activities, and the food.
We will board the catamaran at the port of the little fishing settlement of Bayahibe at around nine in the morning.
We will arrive to "The Wall," where divers and snorkelers will have plenty of time to enjoy themselves, after roughly an hour of sailing. They will be enchanted by the aquatic environment, whether it is above or below the surface.
There is a drop of roughly 25 meters at this site. Beginning divers may see the coral platform from 5-8 meters away, and they can even descend along the fall to a maximum depth of 12 meters (maximum depth allowed for non-certified divers).
The qualified divers will then be allowed to explore the site to a greater depth than is necessary or permitted by their certification.
Any scuba diver, regardless of experience level, will be under the guidance of a PADI instructor who is certified and knowledgeable.
On the shallower portions of the same coral platform, a guide who earns your confidence will also be present for snorkelers.
After a satisfying supper on board, head in the direction of the little Catalina cliff where you will be given three options:
1) Second dive in a brand-new location called "The Aquarium," a reef reaching a maximum depth of 12 meters and suited for both novice and expert divers.
2) A fresh session with the snorkel, mask, and fins around the cliff.
3) Leisure time on the boat or at the beach.
We will resume our navigation at around 3 o'clock in the direction of Casa de Campo and La Romana, where we will cruise the coastline. Finally, you'll find the Chavon River, which has served as the backdrop for several Hollywood blockbusters.
Bayahibe is expected to receive you at 5:30 pm.
