Designed as a rewarding coastal loop, this itinerary combines some of the region’s most attractive sailing stops into one cohesive holiday, giving guests the freedom to enjoy village life, coastal scenery, protected natural areas, and clear Mediterranean waters from the comfort of a spacious catamaran. It is a wonderful choice for travelers who want a route that feels complete and well-rounded, moving from the artistic atmosphere of Cadaqués to the fishing charm of Port de la Selva, then further south toward L’Escala and L’Estartit before returning to Roses. Throughout the week, guests can expect a mixture of scenic sailing, relaxing anchorages, watersports, local cuisine, and the easy pleasures of life aboard a yacht designed for comfortable group cruising.

About Our Service in Port of Roses, Cadaqués, Port de la Selva, L’Escala and L’Estartit

This weekly charter is particularly appealing because it delivers a classic Costa Brava circuit with enough variety to keep each day interesting while remaining manageable for bareboat crews who want enjoyment rather than pressure. The route includes artistic villages, traditional harbors, beach towns, cultural landmarks, and sheltered coastal waters suited to swimming, snorkeling, and paddleboarding. Because the yacht is fully equipped and the itinerary is flexible, guests can adapt timings and daily pace where needed, yet still follow a route that naturally showcases some of the best qualities of this coastline.

Day 1 - Saturday: Embarkation at Port of Roses and sail to Cadaqués
Arrive at Port of Roses for embarkation in the late afternoon and prepare for the start of your charter from one of the most convenient marina bases on the Costa Brava. After a briefing and orientation aboard, depart for Cadaqués, a destination whose beauty is especially memorable when first seen from the water. The village’s bright facades and peaceful waterfront make it an excellent place to begin a week at sea. Once settled, enjoy an evening walk through the old lanes, a meal in one of the local restaurants, or a quiet night aboard while taking in the atmosphere of one of the coast’s most beloved stops.

Day 2 - Sunday: Cadaqués to Port de la Selva
Set off toward Port de la Selva, passing through scenery shaped by the rugged influence of the Cap de Creus area. This leg offers a pleasant mix of sailing enjoyment and visual interest, and the arrival at Port de la Selva introduces a more traditional and understated side of the Costa Brava. Guests can spend the afternoon swimming, relaxing on nearby beaches, or exploring the village and its local character. For those interested in heritage, the surrounding region provides additional interest beyond the harbor itself. The stop works particularly well as a contrast to Cadaqués, broadening the feel of the charter early in the week.

Day 3 - Monday: Port de la Selva to L’Escala
Continue south to L’Escala, a coastal town with broad appeal thanks to its beaches, history, and food culture. This day introduces a longer but still comfortable passage, creating a satisfying sense of progression as you move further along the coast. Once there, guests can visit the Empúries ruins, walk the waterfront, enjoy seafood and tapas, or spend time relaxing near the sea. L’Escala is one of those destinations that adds richness to a sailing itinerary because it offers both easy holiday pleasures and genuine local interest.

Day 4 - Tuesday: L’Escala to L’Estartit
Make a shorter passage to L’Estartit, another highlight of the Costa Brava and a lively base for enjoying marine activities and shore exploration. The town provides a different atmosphere from the previous stops - active, coastal, and closely connected to the water. Depending on your preferences, this day can be about sightseeing, local shopping, paddleboarding, swimming, or simply enjoying a slower afternoon on board with the yacht moored in an attractive setting. Because the route remains flexible, crews can shape this stop according to the mood of the week, whether social and active or laid-back and scenic.

Day 5 - Wednesday: L’Estartit to L’Escala
Return to L’Escala after enjoying the L’Estartit area, taking time along the way for swimming or a lunch stop where conditions permit. This return leg is valuable because it avoids the rushed feeling that some weekly itineraries create. Guests can use the second stay in L’Escala to revisit favorite places, discover anything missed earlier, or simply enjoy a more settled evening in a familiar destination. Returning to a place already experienced once often makes a charter feel more personal and less like a checklist of ports.

Day 6 - Thursday: L’Escala to Roses
Today’s sail back toward Roses combines coastal cruising with plenty of visual reward. Breaks for swimming in scenic coves can make the journey even more enjoyable, and arriving in Roses offers access to a lively town, historic features, and practical marina surroundings. Spend the evening dining ashore, strolling the promenade, or enjoying one of your final onboard dinners while the yacht rests comfortably after another rewarding day at sea.

Day 7 - Friday: Roses to Port of Roses
The final day keeps things easy, with a short return to the home marina that leaves time for a last swim, a leisurely morning in the sun, or final exploration in town. This softer ending suits the character of the overall itinerary - enjoyable, well-paced, and built around holiday pleasure rather than unnecessary effort. It also allows the final night to be relaxed and organized, whether celebrated with a restaurant dinner or spent quietly onboard appreciating the last evening of the trip.

Day 8 - Saturday: Disembarkation
Check out and disembark at 09:00 after breakfast, completing a sailing week that has delivered coastal beauty, village charm, cultural interest, and the satisfying feeling of having explored the Costa Brava by your own route and rhythm.

This 41 ft catamaran is an excellent match for a week-long bareboat charter because it offers the kind of practical comfort that matters over multiple days on board. Twin 30 hp Volvo engines improve handling when berthing or maneuvering in coastal conditions, and the interior and deck speaker system adds a pleasant lifestyle element to long lunches, sunset drinks, and evenings at anchor.

The Right Choice for a Costa Brava Sailing Holiday

What makes this charter especially compelling is its balance. It offers enough variety to keep the week exciting, enough comfort to make living aboard easy, and enough flexibility to let guests turn the route into their own holiday rather than simply follow a rigid schedule. Combined with the stability and livability of the catamaran, the result is a sailing experience that feels generous, comfortable, and truly worthwhile. For travelers looking for a Mediterranean yacht charter that combines freedom, scenery, authentic coastal stops, and practical comfort, this weekly route from Port of Roses is a strong and highly bookable option.
