TOUR AROUND ISCHIAThere is a route of beaches and history between Sorrento and Ischia, where one can get lost. The Sorrento Coast stands out on the horizon, displaying all the hues of the Mediterranean between quaint towns perched on cliffs and terraces covered in citrus and olive groves that fill the bays below with their enticing aromas.
Ischia offers a number of interesting attractions once passengers disembark, including the Aragonese Castle, which the Greeks built in 474 BC and over the centuries transformed into the distinctive fortress that can be seen today and is connected to the rest of the island by the distinctive bridge. The Torrione di Forio is another location of particular interest because it served as the starting point for sentries' warnings in the event of an invasion.
The distinctive Chiesa del Soccorso di Forio, next to the Torrione, is constructed with a view of the sea and is painted the traditional white of Mediterranean architecture.
