Descriptif

Travel from the British Virgin Islands into the dramatic heart of the Windward Islands aboard a sophisticated 62-metre Oceanco yacht created for private cruising at the highest level. This 12-day itinerary begins in Tortola and continues through Virgin Gorda, St Kitts, Antigua, Guadeloupe, Dominica, Martinique, St Lucia, St Vincent, Bequia, Tobago Cays and Grenada. It is an inspiring route for up to 10 guests who value blue-water sailing, volcanic landscapes, secluded anchorages and the reassurance of a professional 15-member crew.

The voyage begins from Tortola's respected marina environment, where first-class infrastructure and experienced marine services support a smooth start. Guests are welcomed aboard, introduced to their private cabins and invited to explore the yacht's expansive decks, heated pool, Jacuzzi, gym and panoramic observation lounge. With embarkation completed efficiently, the yacht can move into the protected waters of the British Virgin Islands before beginning its progressive journey south.

From the Virgin Islands to Grenada

This route showcases the changing character of the eastern Caribbean. The northern stages include established yachting centres and historic harbours, while the southern sections introduce rainforest-covered islands, rugged volcanic coastlines and the exceptional anchorages of the Grenadines. Trade winds create rewarding passage conditions between destinations, and the yacht's scale allows guests to experience longer sailing legs without giving up the comfort associated with a refined private residence.

The itinerary remains adaptable according to weather, guest preferences, port formalities and the captain's operational judgement. The professional crew oversees navigation, housekeeping, dining, technical management, tender operations and personalised destination support. Guests can therefore concentrate on the scenery, activities and shared time onboard rather than the logistical complexity of travelling through numerous island territories.

Day 1 - Tortola to Virgin Gorda

Leave Tortola and cruise toward Virgin Gorda for a gentle introduction to the charter. Visit the famous Baths, where granite formations, protected pools and winding pathways create one of the British Virgin Islands' best-known natural attractions. Guests can swim, snorkel or explore ashore before returning to the yacht for refreshments and relaxation. A calm anchorage provides an ideal first evening, allowing everyone to settle into the yacht's rhythm before the longer southern passages begin.

Day 2 - St Eustatius, St Kitts and Nevis Region

Continue south through moderate trade wind conditions toward St Eustatius, St Kitts or Nevis, depending on timing and the selected route. These volcanic islands combine historic sites, green mountain scenery and quieter beaches. Guests may explore colonial fortifications, coastal settlements or panoramic viewpoints before returning onboard. As evening approaches, enjoy dinner in a sheltered bay while warm breezes and clear skies establish the unmistakable atmosphere of the Leeward Caribbean.

Day 3 - Antigua and Barbuda

Arrive at Antigua, a strategic and culturally significant stop on the way toward the Windward Islands. English Harbour and Falmouth Harbour offer excellent yacht facilities alongside the restored buildings of Nelson's Dockyard and a lively international sailing community. Spend time exploring historic sites, enjoying waterfront dining or visiting one of Antigua's beaches. The crew can also coordinate provisioning and operational preparations before the journey continues south.

Day 4 - Guadeloupe

Sail along open Caribbean waters toward Guadeloupe, enjoying the yacht's observation areas as the island's mountainous profile appears on the horizon. Anchor near Deshaies, Pointe-à-Pitre or another suitable location. Guests may explore tropical gardens, rainforest trails, waterfalls and French-influenced coastal communities. Guadeloupe provides a balanced combination of nature, cuisine and established services, making it an appealing transition between the northern islands and the more rugged destinations ahead.

Day 5 - Dominica

Proceed to Dominica, an island distinguished by steep green mountains, rivers and extensive rainforest. Portsmouth or Roseau may be used as a base for visiting waterfalls, volcanic landscapes, natural pools and forest trails. Local excursions can be arranged according to availability and guest interests. Those remaining onboard can appreciate the scenery from the pool deck or enjoy a quieter afternoon in the Jacuzzi while the yacht rests beneath one of the Caribbean's most dramatic coastlines.

Day 6 - Martinique

The next passage leads to Martinique, where French Caribbean sophistication is combined with volcanic scenery and capable marina infrastructure. Depending on the day's programme, the yacht may approach Fort-de-France, Le Marin or a protected coastal anchorage. Guests can discover local cuisine, markets, historic districts or scenic beaches. The stop also offers an opportunity for additional provisioning before the yacht continues toward the renowned landscapes of St Lucia.

Day 7 - St Lucia and the Pitons

St Lucia is one of the visual highlights of the voyage. Cruise toward Soufrière and the iconic Pitons, whose steep volcanic peaks rise dramatically above the sea, or use Rodney Bay as an alternative base. Spend the day snorkelling, visiting volcanic attractions, relaxing on a beach or enjoying the coastline from the tender. A meal served outdoors with the Pitons in view can become one of the charter's most memorable dining experiences.

Day 8 - St Vincent

Continue south to St Vincent, where rugged terrain, waterfalls and less-developed anchorages create an authentic island atmosphere. Wallilabou Bay, Kingstown or another suitable location may be incorporated according to conditions. Guests may explore local villages and mountain scenery or enjoy an unhurried day around the yacht. The island's natural character provides a compelling contrast to the more polished marina destinations visited earlier in the itinerary.

Day 9 - Bequia and the Grenadines

Enter the Grenadines and discover Bequia, Mustique or another island selected for the day's programme. Shorter cruising distances allow more time for swimming, snorkelling, tender excursions and relaxed lunches on deck. Bequia offers maritime character and an inviting waterfront, while Mustique is associated with privacy and understated exclusivity. Clear water and reef-fringed anchorages establish the setting for the final and most celebrated stages of the southern route.

Day 10 - Tobago Cays Marine Park

Spend the day among the protected lagoons and small islands of Tobago Cays. The area's brilliant water, coral reefs, sandbars and marine life make it one of the Caribbean's most admired cruising environments. Guests may snorkel with turtles, swim in calm lagoons or explore by tender under the guidance of the crew. Lunch can be served onboard against an exceptional natural backdrop, followed by a quiet afternoon on the sunpads or beside the pool.

Day 11 - Northbound Passage

Begin the longer northbound return passage toward St Lucia, Martinique or another suitable waypoint. This is a genuine offshore cruising day, allowing guests to appreciate the yacht's stability, range of interior spaces and attentive service while the bridge team manages navigation and weather routing. Enjoy the gym, panoramic lounge, personalised meals and uninterrupted views across the open Caribbean as the yacht covers a substantial part of the return distance.

Day 12 - Return Toward Tortola

The final day continues north toward Tortola and the British Virgin Islands, subject to the agreed operational plan and passage requirements. Scenic island views accompany the yacht through familiar northern waters before arrival at the selected marina. A final breakfast or lunch can be enjoyed on deck while the crew coordinates luggage, onward transport and disembarkation. The conclusion brings together the scale of an offshore adventure with the polished organisation expected from a fully crewed charter.

Refined Living Aboard a 62-Metre Oceanco

The yacht's distinguished Oceanco build quality, elegant exterior styling and carefully considered layout make it particularly suitable for an itinerary that includes both destination-rich island hopping and longer passages. Up to 10 guests are accommodated in five luxurious cabins, including a remarkable full-deck owner's suite. This arrangement creates a highly private environment with generous personal space, refined en-suite facilities and easy access to the yacht's shared living areas.

Inside, panoramic glazing and contemporary finishes provide a sophisticated yet comfortable atmosphere. Multiple lounges allow guests to socialise, enjoy films, read or simply observe the changing scenery. Dining can be arranged formally or informally according to the occasion, supported by a culinary team able to adapt menus around preferences and dietary requirements communicated during the planning process. A Steinway grand piano adds elegance and an opportunity for distinctive evening entertainment.

The exterior decks are designed around Caribbean living. A heated pool and deck Jacuzzi provide inviting places to unwind, while broad sunpads, shaded seating and open-air dining areas accommodate different times of day. The observation lounge is particularly valuable during approaches to volcanic islands and scenic anchorages. At water level, the swimming platform creates convenient access for snorkelling, tender transfers and refreshing swims.

A gym is available for active guests, and Starlink with Wi-Fi supports connectivity when required. Advanced stabilisation systems improve comfort during offshore sailing and while resting at anchor. The 15-person crew provides navigation expertise, technical oversight, meticulous housekeeping, fine dining service and discreet concierge support, ensuring that each guest receives personal attention throughout the journey.

The Windward Islands in Exceptional Comfort

This charter offers a compelling blend of celebrated islands and less-developed cruising grounds. Guests can move from the granite landscapes of Virgin Gorda to Antigua's naval heritage, Dominica's rainforests, St Lucia's Pitons and the protected lagoons of Tobago Cays without repeatedly changing hotels or arranging inter-island flights. The yacht remains a private, consistently serviced home throughout the voyage.

Because this itinerary covers significant distances and several jurisdictions, advance preparation is essential. Early reservation provides time to evaluate seasonal conditions, establish realistic passage plans and personalise dining, shore activities and cabin arrangements. Confirm your preferred dates to experience the Windward Islands aboard a spacious 62-metre yacht supported by a crew dedicated to comfort, discretion and outstanding service.
