Weekly Crewed Catamaran Charter in Costa Brava from Port of Roses

A week on the Costa Brava deserves more than a simple sailing transfer from one marina to the next. This private 7-night catamaran charter from Port of Roses is designed as a full Mediterranean holiday experience, combining the freedom of life at sea with the comfort of a spacious multihull and the reassurance of a professional skipper included throughout. Departing from one of northern Spain’s most practical and secure marina bases, this charter is ideal for families, groups of friends, and guests who want a route that feels scenic, unhurried, and genuinely immersive. The coastline here offers a remarkable variety of landscapes - broad bays, rocky headlands, whitewashed fishing villages, quiet coves, and cultural stops that give every day a different mood. Rather than rushing through the Costa Brava, this itinerary allows guests to experience it properly, with manageable sailing legs, generous time for swimming and snorkeling, opportunities to dine ashore or onboard, and the privacy of having your own floating home for the week.

About Our Service in Port of Roses, Cadaqués, Cap de Creus, Port de la Selva, Roses Bay, L’Escala and L’Estartit

This weekly charter begins on Day 1 - Saturday with embarkation at Port of Roses from 17:00. Roses is an excellent departure point for a longer sailing holiday because it combines secure marina infrastructure, convenient provisioning, and easy boarding in a setting that already introduces guests to the beauty of the Costa Brava. After check-in, settling into the yacht, and a full orientation from the skipper, the experience begins with a short and atmospheric sail to Cadaqués. Arriving in the early evening is part of the charm. The light softens over the bay, the village’s white façades begin to glow, and guests immediately understand why Cadaqués remains one of the most admired coastal destinations in Catalonia. The first night is not treated as a simple transfer stop, but as the elegant opening of the holiday, with time to stroll narrow lanes, enjoy a waterfront dinner, take photographs from the quay, or simply relax onboard with the village as a backdrop.

On Day 2 - Sunday, the charter shifts into nature-rich cruising with a leisurely passage toward Cap de Creus and onward to Port de la Selva. The sail itself is one of the pleasures of the day, with changing views of rocky formations, hidden inlets, and the increasingly dramatic coastline of the natural park. At Cap de Creus, guests have the chance to pause in crystal-clear waters for swimming and snorkeling, and the surroundings are ideal for photography thanks to the contrast between the rugged cliffs and the deep blue Mediterranean. Continuing to Port de la Selva adds a different tone to the day: quieter, more traditional, and appealingly local. Here, guests can enjoy a peaceful marina or anchorage atmosphere, sample seafood in a village restaurant, or simply appreciate the slower rhythm of a genuine fishing settlement rather than an overtly commercial resort setting.

Day 3 - Monday returns the yacht to Cadaqués, but not as a repetition. This second visit allows guests to experience the village more deeply. Instead of a brief first impression, there is time to step into its artistic character, browse galleries and boutiques, discover more of the waterfront, and visit nearby beaches or viewpoints. Guests who wish to keep the day slow can remain onboard, swimming from the yacht and enjoying the catamaran’s outdoor spaces, while those seeking more activity can go ashore and explore in greater detail. This is one of the strengths of the itinerary: the route is flexible and scenic, but it also leaves room to truly enjoy destinations rather than ticking them off too quickly.

On Day 4 - Tuesday, the pace becomes even more relaxed as the yacht makes a short cruise toward Roses Bay. This is a day built around leisure and enjoyment of the sea itself. The calm, protected waters are especially inviting for paddleboarding, swimming, floating in the warm Mediterranean, and spending long stretches of time sunbathing or socializing on deck. Meals onboard become part of the experience here, with the catamaran acting as a private waterside terrace in one of the area’s most comfortable anchorages. Instead of focusing on extensive shore plans, the day celebrates exactly what many guests come for - the luxury of time, water, space, and the freedom to enjoy them at an unhurried pace.

Day 5 - Wednesday continues south to L’Escala on a slightly longer but still comfortable sailing leg. The approach to L’Escala reveals another side of the Costa Brava, where Catalan coastal life, sandy beaches, and local culinary traditions shape the atmosphere. Known for its anchovy heritage and attractive seafront, the town is well suited to an afternoon of gentle exploration. Guests may choose to walk the waterfront, stop for tapas, browse local shops, or simply divide the afternoon between shore time and swimming stops. The balance between sailing and time ashore remains central to the charter, ensuring that each day feels substantial without becoming tiring.

On Day 6 - Thursday, the yacht proceeds to L’Estartit, another destination that gives the itinerary a fresh character. This lively coastal town is known for its marina environment, clear waters, and attractive base for relaxed seaside enjoyment. The day can include swimming, snorkeling, dinghy rides along the coast, and a long, easy lunch either onboard or ashore. There is enough activity in the area to keep more adventurous guests engaged, while those who prefer a quieter rhythm can simply enjoy the journey, the scenery, and the comfort of the yacht. Evenings here are especially pleasant, with a vibrant but not overwhelming atmosphere around the waterfront.

Day 7 - Friday is devoted to the return to Port of Roses. Rather than feeling like the end of the experience, this last sailing day serves as a final celebration of the route, offering one more scenic coastal passage, one more opportunity to swim, and one more evening to enjoy the yacht before disembarkation. Guests can use the final night to dine ashore, revisit favorite moments of the week, and enjoy the satisfaction of having experienced a varied and beautifully paced Costa Brava circuit. On Day 8 - Saturday, disembarkation takes place at 09:00 after breakfast, concluding a charter defined by elegant villages, clear water, manageable sailing distances, and the distinct beauty of Catalonia’s northern coast.

About Our Catamaran

This charter is operated aboard a 2017 Bavaria Nautitech 46 Fly catamaran, a model especially well suited to week-long coastal cruising with groups who expect both comfort and functionality. With an overall length of 13.71 metres and a broad 7.55-metre beam, the yacht offers the kind of stability and onboard space that makes extended time at sea far more comfortable than on many smaller monohulls. Its proportions are particularly valuable for guests who want to move around freely, enjoy separate lounging areas, and have enough room for shared living without sacrificing privacy.

The accommodation layout is one of the yacht’s strongest assets for group travel. With 4 double cabins and 2 individual cabins, it can welcome up to 12 guests, making it highly adaptable for families, couples traveling together, or mixed groups of friends. The presence of 4 bathrooms plus 2 showers adds a practical advantage that becomes increasingly important during a full week onboard, especially when guests are returning from swims, beach visits, or active days on the water. The onboard layout has clearly been designed with real cruising comfort in mind rather than simply maximizing numbers.

The exterior living spaces are a major highlight. The flybridge creates an elevated viewing platform that is ideal for coastal cruising, sunrise coffee, sunset drinks, or simply enjoying the sensation of being at sea with panoramic views in every direction. The outdoor lounge and dining area provide a comfortable setting for group meals, conversation, and relaxation, while the bathing platform supports easy access to the water during swimming and snorkeling stops. Inside, the modern saloon and galley arrangement make the yacht feel practical and welcoming, with a double refrigerator, oven, cooktop, hot water system, stereo system, USB and Bluetooth connectivity, inverter, solar-ready systems, and dinghy davits all contributing to a smooth onboard lifestyle.

From a technical perspective, the yacht is equipped for safe and capable coastal navigation, with autopilot, GPS, VHF, anemometer, speed sensor, and electric windlass all supporting the experience. Twin 50hp Volvo engines provide dependable maneuverability when entering marinas, handling anchorages, or adjusting plans along the route. In short, this is not just a yacht that transports guests from place to place. It is a well-balanced cruising platform that makes the charter itself more comfortable, more sociable, and more enjoyable at every stage of the week.

Your Private Costa Brava Escape

What makes this charter so appealing is the way it combines the most important qualities of a successful sailing holiday in one complete experience. Guests are not limited to a crowded excursion timetable or a rushed coastal sampler. Instead, they enjoy the privacy of a dedicated catamaran, the guidance of a professional skipper, and a route that reveals the Costa Brava through its villages, natural parks, bays, and relaxed Mediterranean rhythm. The sailing legs are comfortable, the stops are varied, and the onboard space allows the week to feel genuinely luxurious without becoming formal or restrictive. For travelers comparing charter options in this region, this experience stands out because it delivers both freedom and structure: enough flexibility to feel personal, enough planning to feel seamless, and enough comfort to turn a sailing trip into a proper holiday. If you want a Costa Brava charter that is scenic, spacious, and truly memorable from beginning to end, this is the kind of week guests talk about long after they return home.
