MUZO’S 20 is a 20 meter displacement motor yacht built under the design of the renowned Riza Tansu at Tansu Yachts. Recently launched in 2020, MUZO’S 20 follows Tansu Yacht design distinguished exterior style with the strong angular lines and military appearance. In contrast, the interior styling provides a light atmosphere and contemporary styling. MUZO’S 20 can accommodate 6 guests in 3 staterooms, all with en-suite facilities. The Master stateroom is situated up forward on the lower deck and is full beam with a well-appointed en-suite. The VIP double and twin cabins are both also on the lower deck.

The saloon is situated on the main deck which is a great area to relax with a couple of comfortable facing sofa’s, a flat screen TV and plenty of storage space. From the saloon there is direct access to the aft of the Yacht where there is a teak table with raised seating perfect for al-fresco dining. Then forward of the main saloon to the portside there is a well-equipped galley and further forward the wheelhouse station with a staircase leading down to the lower deck.

The upper deck has an abundance of space creating a great entertaining area or a space for toy storage in a total of 40 Sqm. Towards the aft there is a davit with a capacity of 350 kg and an area for tender storage, which currently houses a 330 Brig Falcon. There is a helm station up forward, sun loungers and an L-Shaped seating area with another teak table. All of which is half covered by a structured hard top. There is a large aft transom which provides an excellent platform for ease of access to and from the water.

Her fast displacement hull form (FDHF) deisgned by Tufan and Brothers which gives her to be stabile at all speeds and bad sea conditions. She is also able to reach hull speed at low engine powers.

HULL STRUCTURE AND MATERIALS 

The hull will be built with a longitudinal/transverse mixed type structure, material will be Iroko or equal type of exotic hardwood, with a density of 650 kg/m3.

Materials and scantlings of the structural members will be in compliance with the requirements of the Classification Society and well recognized international standards. The work will be executed under the survey of the Classification Society, followed up by the Owner’s Representative.

Materials and equipment used in the construction will be of a high quality consistent with first class yacht building practice.

GENERAL NOTES ABOUT THE WOOD:

► Humidity of the wood max. 15%

► Adhesive to be used for the lamination is epoxy based and type approved.

► Bilge area to be painted with primer and white color to protect against atmospheric conditions. Rest of the structural members to be protected with epoxy coating.

► Beam camber constant for all sections on both decks.

► The marine plywood adopted for hull construction and structural parts is to be type tested by CE

► The timber is to be well-seasoned, free from sapwood and any noxious organisms (moulds, insects, larvae, bacteria, etc.) which might impair its durability and structural efficiency. Timber is to be free of all defects, checks, sapwood or inclusions.

► Inaccessible surfaces of internal hull structures are to be treated with a suitable wood preservative according to the manufacturer’s instructions and compatible with the glues, varnishes and paints employed.

► Procedure for gluing of glasses for superstructure windows and skylights shall be approved by the manufacturer of the adhesive. Personnel in charge of connections to superstructure by gluing are to be qualified according to CE procedure, as foreseen on CE “rules for the qualification and certification of marine adhesive bonders for yachts”, or according to other rules recognized by CE.

► Double nuts to be provided at the end of each bolt or similar solution in order to avoid unscrewing of single nut.

► Construction details and possible local additional reinforcements to CE surveyor’s satisfaction.

PAINT

The painting of the vessel will be Superyacht Finish. Each type of painted surface on the exterior spaces, with the exception of the interior joinery, shall utilize a complete system from a single supplier, to ensure that the products used are totally compatible.

The hull topsides will have a yacht finish, The superstructure will have a yacht finish.

The hull and superstructure will be faired to superyacht standards.

Components of the exterior paint shall be DUPONT MARINE FINISHES SYSTEM. Underwater areas will be INTERNATIONAL.

The paint system subcontractor will strictly follow paint manufacturer recommendations for preparation and application.

All color schemes, styling lines and special features are to be discussed and approved by the Owner.

PREPARATION & APPLICATION

The manufacturer’s instructions will be strictly followed with regard to the stowage of all the material, the preparation of the surfaces and the application of the system.

Particular consideration will be paid to climatic conditions, mixing ratios, dry film thickness and over coating times.

Tufan and Brothers shall consult closely with the manufacturer and arrange inspections by a representative of the manufacturer.

The paint will be applied by spray, and during the application and drying of the final finishes there shall be no other activity taking place in the vicinity which may cause undue dust.
