Sailboat navigation delivers an amazing sense of freedom. Take to the wide sea and treat yourself to a series of discoveries, and for some, adventures. The scenery has completely changed.
Participate in shared cruises with others who share interests with you, such as the sea, boats, travel, nature, and sharing. Alternatively, by privatizing the boat, you may rent it with a skipper.
Cruise stays are intended at anybody (s) of any age in excellent physical shape who want to enjoy a user-friendly experience, whether you are a newbie, an enlightened amateur, or a seasoned navigator, alone, as a pair, with friends or family. Individuals, businesses, or organizations can also privatize the boat, meaning they can charter the yacht with the captain.
Sailing vacations in Celtic and Anglo-Norman nations. Saint-Malo, at 2 hours and 30 minutes from Paris, is a perfect starting point for one of Europe's most beautiful and intriguing navigation basins.
The archipelago of the Iles Chausey is the nearest to Saint-Malo. The look of Mont Saint-Michel changes regularly due to one of Europe's highest tides. There are claimed to be as many islets as days in the year at low tide, but only a handful emerge at high tide. All of this contributes to its attractiveness being distinct and varied each time you visit.
We set sail from Saint Malo and travel along the Emerald Coast between Cancale and Cap Fréhel, with the Chausey Islands archipelago as our destination. Depending on the length of the cruise and the weather, a trip to the Island of Jersey to the north of the Chausey Islands or west to the Ile de Bréhat is conceivable.
The schedule and program might be changed depending on the weather and your preferences. The itinerary below is a typical example.
Day 1: Boarding is set for 9 a.m. in Saint-Malo. Installation on the boat, introduction of the norms of life on board, and safety. Crossing the Bay of Saint-Malo and heading for the Chausey Islands.
Day 2: Set sail towards the Emerald Coast, with a possible stop at the Ile des Ebihens, or at the foot of Fort Lalatte or Cap Fréhel, before returning to Saint-Malo in the afternoon.
3-4 day cruise You have two options:
Based on a two-day cruise. After day one, you will travel to the Channel Islands, where you will spend the night in the port of Saint Helier in Jersey. You have the option of visiting or walking. "Day 2" follows.
We pass the Bay of Saint-Brieuc after the Emerald Coast, heading towards Saint-Quay Portrieux, a popular scallop fishing area. Walks along the port's several beaches. The next day, cruise down the Côte du Golo and visit the lovely Île de Bréhat, often known as the Flower Island. Stop for the night in an anchorage in the Trieux River or at the port of Lézardieux. Possible hikes on a section of the legendary GR34. Then head back to Saint-Malo.
Our sailboat is a one-of-a-kind Randonneur 12m created by renowned naval architect Mark Lombard. It is a boat intended for voyage without regard for dimension. Everything has been done to achieve a quick boat while adhering to the standards meant for blue sea sailing, i.e. a sailboat with exceptional road stability, the capacity to handle a big load, and great solidity for the security required by this program.
Despite having a reinforced sampling, the boat is lighter than a series construction because to the strip planking process's epoxy wood composite construction approach. It is a sandwich of fiberglass, red cedar wood, and epoxy resin that strikes a balance between lightweight, stiffness, solidity, and insulation.
Despite its trip boat program, it was planned and built with a genuine care for performance, sensations, and safety. Its hull is evocative of those used in ocean racing, and it influenced the construction of the first Class 40s as well as many modern cruising sailboats, notably the RM Yachts series, for which it is the original design.
The designer created a broad hull with a big inner capacity for habitability and a huge surface area at deck level for mobility and idleness. It includes three staterooms, a huge saloon, a large galley (essential for cooking on a boat), and a large chart table excellent for preparation for sailing and briefings before each departure.
It has all of the typical conveniences that may be enjoyed on a contemporary sailboat without succumbing to unnecessary indulgences, such as pressurized hot water, toilets, a sink area in each cabin, a deck shower that allows you to rinse off after swimming or shower outside, and heating.
It features a cutter rig with a 49 m2 Pro Radial square-headed mainsail with 3 reefs, a 43 m2 Pro Radial furling jib, a huge 22 m2 Pro Radial staysail and a tiny 14 m2 Dacron staysail for the breeze, and an asymmetrical spinnaker for downwind sailing. The necessities for effective, pleasant, and safe navigation.
When anchoring at anchor or on buoys, a motorized dinghy allows you to make contacts on shore.
The yacht is equipped with electronic aids, and all the navigation and safety equipment necessary and mandatory for a boat flying the professional commercial flag, among others: Pilot charts, Cartography, Guides and navigation books, Compass, Binoculars, Barometer, GPS , Log, depth sounder, wind vane anemometer, electric pilot, fixed VHF, portable VHF, AIS transceiver, radar reflector, 8-seater offshore liferaft, Grab bag, distress lights, Silzig buoy, Dan buoy (IOR pole), vests rescue inflatables, fire extinguishers, gas detector, shears, pharmacy.
