If you have an adventurous attitude and enjoy finding new ways to spend your time, don't hesitate to join us on our short 4-hour boat excursion. We'll set sail from Port Olimpic and make our way to Masnou, a little Mediterranean town. We'll raise the sail, turn off the motor, and enjoy the fantastic sensation of sailing by the breeze if the wind cooperates. You will also have the option of driving the boat on your own.
Our captain will teach you some fundamental sailing skills. When we get at our destination, we will have a break to rest and swim in the crystal blue Mediterranean seas, away from the crowds and with complete access to the sea. Nothing beats the sense of the sea wind on your skin on a hot summer day. You will lie on the boat's wide cover to sunbathe while listening to your favorite music on the way back to Port Olimpic.
Travel plan Route 1 - Barcelona – Port Vell – BadalonaDepart from Port Olimpic around 10:00 and sail toward Port Vell; once inside the harbor, we visit the area cruises, luxury yachts, and Maremagnum; being able to see the statue of Columbus, the end of Las Ramblas, and the Maremagnum, this is an ideal place for tourists to do some souvenir photos with another view point of the city. This took roughly 20 minutes.
After that, we will depart Port Vell and sail towards Badalona, depending on the weather. If feasible, we will sail close the shore or up into the deep, depending on your preferences. From here, you can view the Sagrada Familia, Tibidabo, Agbar Tower, Montjuic Castle, and Hotel W.
Passing in front of the Forum, the yacht will cruise up to Badalona, where, on clear days, the peak of Montserrat may be seen. We could expand the navigation to the region and hence Montgat location somewhat Maresme area depending on the winds. It took us two hours of navigating to get here.
Once we reach this location, we will sail back to Port Olimpic for about an hour.
Route 2 - Port Olimpic – MasnouDeparture from Port Olimpic at 12:00 to the Port of Masnou, where we will perform a coastal sailing so visitors may see the monuments. If you are more courageous, we can undertake an offshore sailing. This will take us 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach Masnou, and once there, we will seek permission to dock the sailboat and stop for lunch at one of the port restaurants that will be waiting for us.
We'll start eating about 13:45 h and conclude around 14:45 h, giving you enough time to go around the port if you desire. The restaurant's menu would cost between 12 and 15 Euros per person.
When we are ready, we will board the sailboat and sail back to Port Olimpic for around 1 hour and 30 minutes, arriving at 16:30 h.
Our Sailing yachtThe Sun Odyssey 44i is a four-cabin cruising boat with eight permanent beds and two head compartments. Although we usually do not advocate it, the main cabin can be utilized for two extra berths. It is a pleasant and large vessel that can accommodate two families or a party of up to eight persons. She can be sailed by a couple, as can all contemporary boats, but because she is larger and has greater sail area, a larger crew allows labor to be shared and offers extra hands while mooring.
It can be operated by a two-person crew, but having more people on board makes mooring and other operations easier and divides the weight. She sails well, as do all Jeanneau boats, delivering exciting sailing while being secure and stable, as one would expect from a bigger cruising yacht.
The Sun Odyssey 44i boats from Greek Sails include twin-wheel steering, a rolling genoa, and a fully battened slab reefing mainsail with lazy jacks and a sail bag. Single-line reefing is used on the mainsail, with reefs 1 and 2 rigged. A bow thruster is also available to help with close quarter maneuvering. If you anchor, there is an inflatable dinghy with outboard to assist you in getting ashore or just to let you to explore. A DSC VHF radio and an EPIRB are also located near the chart table on the 44i.
There are charts and pilot instructions available. The boat has a CD/radio player in the main cabin, as well as external speakers in the cockpit, so you may listen to music while sailing. It has four cabins and two toilet/shower rooms (referred to as "heads" in sailing parlance), each with hot and cold running water, a toilet, and a holding tank. Each cabin has a double berth, for a total of eight berths, and the main saloon settee and table may be converted to another double berth, for a total of ten people, albeit the main saloon is only recommended for children.
The watercraft characteristics comprise of: Length: 13.75m Beam: 4.37m Max. Capacity: 8 Bathroom: 2 Cabins: 4 Berths: 8 Engine: 54Hp Fuel tank capacity: 240L Fresh water capacity:615L
