Ston offers a unique environment as a town with second longest wall in the world, with narrow quiet streets, noble ancient houses and with traces of ancient cultures. History of this Medieval little town reaches back as far as the 14th century. The oldest operating salt works in the world still serve as a testament to its former value as a "salt city." Ston is a small fishing town that offers some of Croatia's best seafood. Oysters and mussel beds are highly regarded in Ston Bay.
