Deskripsi

Cross from South America's Pacific coast to its remote inland river frontier on a distinctive 27-day private expedition from Valparaiso to Puerto Busch. The journey travels south through Chile, rounds the continent through Argentina and Uruguay, continues along Brazil and then enters the navigable Paraguay River system. Visits to Buenos Aires, Montevideo, the Foz do Iguaçu region, Asunción and northern Paraguay lead toward Bolivia's river-accessible Pantanal frontier.

Important Routing Information

Bolivia is landlocked and cannot be reached through a conventional coastal yacht itinerary. This route therefore uses the navigable Paraguay River system to approach Puerto Busch, Bolivia's principal river-accessible frontier location. The offshore yacht and inland river stages require specific navigational feasibility, suitable draft, local pilots, transfers or an appropriate river vessel. The final programme must be confirmed according to seasonal water levels, vessel capability, border procedures, permissions and regional operating conditions.

About Our Private Coastal and River Expedition Service

Valparaiso supplies both practical port infrastructure and a compelling maritime atmosphere for the beginning of this unusually diverse journey. Embarkation, accommodation, provisioning and guest preferences are coordinated with care. The service can be personalized around dining, wellness, celebrations and shore interests, while specialist planning is applied to the transition from ocean cruising to inland waterways.

A professional team of 27 crew members supports hospitality, navigation, safety, housekeeping, culinary operations and individual guest requirements aboard the primary yacht. Additional pilots, guides, transfer providers or specialist river personnel may be required for the inland sector. Operational decisions remain governed by the captain, local authorities and the suitability of prevailing navigation conditions.

Your 27-Day Chile to Bolivia Expedition Itinerary

Day 1 - Valparaiso, Chile: Join the yacht in Valparaiso and settle into the accommodation after a personalized welcome and safety orientation. Depart the historic Pacific port and begin the long southbound passage toward Patagonia.

Day 2 - At Sea, Chile: Continue along Chile's Pacific coast. Enjoy the pool, wellness facilities, cinema and spacious social areas while the crew makes steady progress toward Puerto Montt.

Day 3 - Puerto Montt, Chile: Explore this gateway to the Lake District and Patagonian fjords. Visit local markets and the waterfront or travel toward nearby Puerto Varas before returning aboard.

Day 4 - At Sea, Chilean Patagonia: Cruise through increasingly remote waters surrounded by islands, fjords and mountain scenery. Sheltered lounges provide comfortable observation points as the yacht advances south.

Day 5 - Punta Arenas, Chile: Arrive at the Strait of Magellan and visit Punta Arenas' waterfront, museums and historic landmarks. Departure later in the day continues through southern channels.

Day 6 - Ushuaia, Argentina: Enter Argentina and reach Ushuaia, dramatically positioned between mountains and the Beagle Channel. Explore Tierra del Fuego before turning northeast toward the Atlantic coast.

Day 7 - At Sea, Argentina: Complete a substantial offshore passage toward northern Patagonia. Guests can arrange massages, use the hammam and sauna or enjoy private entertainment and dining.

Day 8 - Puerto Madryn, Argentina: Discover the coastal and wildlife environments associated with the Valdés Peninsula. Seasonal excursions can be arranged before the yacht continues north.

Day 9 - At Sea, Argentina: Follow the Atlantic coastline toward the Río de la Plata. This passage provides time to relax and enjoy the yacht's comprehensive onboard facilities.

Day 10 - Buenos Aires, Argentina: Spend the day exploring grand avenues, historic neighbourhoods, cultural institutions and acclaimed dining areas in Argentina's capital. Return aboard for the passage to Uruguay.

Day 11 - Montevideo, Uruguay: Visit Ciudad Vieja, local markets, architectural landmarks and the city's long waterfront. Departure later begins the international passage toward Brazil.

Day 12 - At Sea, Uruguay to Brazil: Cross into Brazilian waters while the crew maintains a comfortable northbound schedule. Personalized hospitality continues throughout the offshore navigation.

Day 13 - Rio Grande, Brazil: Enter southern Brazil through an established maritime gateway. Discover the coastal surroundings before continuing toward the country's southeastern regions.

Day 14 - Porto Alegre Region, Brazil: Experience selected landscapes and cultural attractions within the wider Porto Alegre region. The yacht then progresses toward the next major stage of the route.

Day 15 - Santos, Brazil: Arrive at Brazil's major southeastern port, providing access to the surrounding coastline and São Paulo region. Explore selected attractions before preparations begin for the inland transition.

Day 16 - Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil: Travel inland through a separately coordinated transfer to the region of the magnificent Iguaçu Falls. Experience the Brazilian side and surrounding natural landscapes before continuing the expedition plan.

Day 17 - Foz do Iguaçu and Paraguay Border: Spend further time around the tri-border region shared by Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina. Complete immigration, logistical and vessel-transfer preparations for the river journey toward Paraguay.

Day 18 - Asunción, Paraguay: Reach Paraguay's riverside capital through the navigable river system and explore historic districts, markets and cultural attractions. The inland expedition then turns north along the Paraguay River.

Day 19 - Asunción to Concepción, Paraguay: Cruise past rural settlements, forested banks and changing river landscapes. Arrive near Concepción for an introduction to northern Paraguay's riverside environment.

Day 20 - Concepción, Paraguay: Spend additional time exploring the local riverfront and regional culture. The crew and specialist navigation team prepare for increasingly remote waterways farther north.

Day 21 - Puerto Casado, Paraguay: Reach a remote settlement on the Paraguay River and discover the surrounding Chaco environment. Continue north through sparsely inhabited landscapes toward Bahía Negra.

Day 22 - Bahía Negra, Paraguay: Visit one of Paraguay's northernmost river communities. The area's isolation, wetlands and Chaco scenery introduce the wilderness character of the frontier stage.

Day 23 - Paraguay River Toward Bolivia: Navigate through remote waterways near the Paraguayan, Brazilian and Bolivian frontier. Wetlands, forests and wildlife habitats dominate the surroundings as the vessel approaches Puerto Busch.

Day 24 - Puerto Busch, Bolivia: Reach Bolivia's river-accessible gateway on the Paraguay River, subject to water levels and official clearance. An organized excursion introduces the frontier and its Pantanal environment.

Day 25 - Bolivian Pantanal: Explore selected wetland, forest and wildlife areas with appropriate local guidance. Activities are planned carefully around conservation requirements, transport feasibility and seasonal conditions.

Day 26 - Puerto Busch, Bolivia: Spend a final full day in the remote border region. A further guided experience may be arranged before completing logistical and disembarkation preparations.

Day 27 - Puerto Busch, Bolivia: Conclude the expedition after crossing coastal and inland regions of Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Paraguay and Bolivia. Final transfers must be organized in advance due to Puerto Busch's isolated location and limited infrastructure.

Entertainment is supported by an indoor movie theatre and outdoor cinema. A gym, massage room, sauna and hammam form a sophisticated wellness suite for recuperation during longer passages.

The classically styled interiors combine polished marble, carved wood, silk carpets and refined furnishings. Generous windows illuminate formal and informal social areas while maintaining a connection with the passing landscapes. The formal dining room supports special occasions, and multiple lounges allow guests to gather or retreat in privacy.

A Rare Journey from Ocean to Inland South America

This expedition is designed for adventurous travellers who value exclusivity, comfort and meaningful geographical discovery. It connects Pacific sailing, Patagonia, sophisticated capitals, Brazil's natural landmarks and one of South America's most remote navigable frontiers. The inland section is technically complex and cannot be treated as a conventional superyacht cruise, making early feasibility assessment essential. With sufficient preparation, specialist support and regulatory clearance, the journey offers an exceptional perspective on the continent's coastal and river environments.
