Kalpitiya, Sri Lanka
Kalpitiya features Sri Lanka's biggest coral reef. Many travelers have left it unspoiled and unprotected. It is home to a wide variety of colorful fish and sea critters. There are various diving sites in the water, and we organize professional dive sessions
The diving season at Kalpitiya begins in late November and lasts until early May. (though this can vary by a couple of weeks either end, depending on the exact dive location and type of dive you want to do).
During this period, the west coast of Sri Lanka experiences optimum wind and water conditions, making it ideal for scuba diving and snorkeling. There will be little wind, little currents, and reasonably calm sea conditions.
Learn about Sri Lanka's wonderful undersea world. Choose from a variety of diving destinations and spend part of your vacation underwater. Kalpitiya has amazing coral reefs, breathtaking wrecks, incredible marine life, swim-through rock formations, and much more. Join us for a morning or afternoon dive and have a good time!
Whether you are a novice or an expert diver, we will help you choose diving that is appropriate for your diving ability level and will fit both your encourages and demands.
You should discuss your dives with our PADI Divemaster or Instructor. As a result, we can directly customize to your diving experience and diving talents. We often dive with max. There are five divers and one Divemaster or Instructor. There are reef, rock, deep, and wreck dives available.
If a diver hasn't dived in at least 6 months, we recommend doing a Refresher dive first, where you may gradually regain your confidence. But We allow people who have done scuba diving at least once in lifetime
If you aren't already carrying your own equipment, you will be sized for it. Once all of the equipment is in place, you will have a thorough yet concise dive and boat briefing with your party.
This includes critical information on the dive sites, important local and specific diving protocols, safety procedures, recall processes, dive site attractions, marine life, dive profile, signs and signals, and so on. Dive planning is vital for excellent, quiet, and enjoyable dives, and we strive for nothing less than excellence.
Then, we set sail! Once the equipment has been placed onto the boats with the assistance of our personnel, we go for our dive destinations, the most of which are within 20 minutes of each other.
A two-tank boat dive is made up of two dives. If the depth difference between the two approached dive sites is large, the deeper dive will be performed first (we dive with PADI and therefore avoid reverse profiling). If a diver hasn't dived in at least 6 months, the first dive should be shallow in order for the diver to become comfortable in the water and enjoy the dive.
A dive can last up to 45 minutes, depending on the No-Decompression Limits.
The drive to the next dive site normally covers the surface interval (depending on the Dive Computer's planning and the dive profile). Meanwhile, the equipment is being prepped for the next dive. Unless absolutely essential, we will NOT return to the diving center between dives.
We urge you to discuss your underwater experience with tea and cookies when you return to the diving school. Our guides assist you with completing your logbook entries and identifying various species seen during your dives.
Diving helps to develop bonds between people from all over the world who have a love of the ocean, and we give a platform for that to happen.
