Kalpitiya, Sri Lanka
Kalpitiya features Sri Lanka's biggest coral reef. Many travelers have left it unspoiled and unprotected. It is home to a wide variety of colorful fish and sea critters. There are various diving sites in the water, and we organize professional dive sessions
The diving season at Kalpitiya begins in late November and lasts until early May. (though this can vary by a couple of weeks either end, depending on the exact dive location and type of dive you want to do).
During this period, the west coast of Sri Lanka experiences optimum wind and water conditions, making it ideal for scuba diving and snorkeling. There will be little wind, little currents, and reasonably calm sea conditions.
This also happens to coincide with whale and dolphin watching season.
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver eLearning course is intended to enhance your underwater knowledge and abilities. Regardless of your skill level, you may enroll immediately after getting your PADI Open Water Diver certification. The training will help you gain confidence in your navigation abilities, fine-tune your buoyancy skills, and introduce you to various diving activities such as wreck diving, night diving, and underwater imaging. After completing your eLearning, you will do five Adventure Dives to receive your certification: a deep dive (beyond 18m/60F), a navigation dive, and three additional Adventure Dives of your choice.
You and your instructor will create your learning route by selecting Adventure Dives from a broad selection. There are two mandatory dives - Deep and Underwater Navigation - and three optional dives for a total of five dives.
You will learn how to organize dives to deal with the physiological consequences and obstacles of deeper scuba diving during the Deep Adventure Dive. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive sharpens your compass navigation abilities and teaches you how to navigate more effectively with kick-cycles, visual markers, and time.
Other information and skills you get depend on your interests and adventures - photography, buoyancy control, fish identification, wreck exploration, and so on.
