SECURITY DEPOSIT:
A refundable security deposit to cover the policy deductible is required upon embarkation and can be paid in cash or by credit card (VISA, MASTERCARD). The deposit will be repaid in full unless there is damage or defect on the yacht or equipment discovered upon return of the yacht. In the event of loss or damage to the equipment, specific components of the boat, or the yacht itself, the charter company shall retain the amount (a portion or the entire deposit) corresponding to the cost of repairing, acquiring, and/or purchasing the equipment or specific element of the yacht. When the Client contracts the services of a skipper, the set down money is also required, as the set down deposit cannot be utilized to cover expenses incurred by the skipper's negligence, poor boat steering, or poor equipment management.
TAKEOVER THE VESSEL:
If the Client does not take over the boat within 12 hours without notifying the Charter company, the Charter company has the authority to unilaterally terminate the contract. If the Charter firm is unable to deliver the reserved boat at the agreed-upon time and location, the Client has the right to terminate the contract and receive a refund of the sum previously paid. The charter business is required to provide a technically correct yacht that is fully outfitted with full tanks of water and gasoline, is clean and dry, and is ready to sail. When taking over the boat, the Client must carefully inspect and test the state of the boat and its equipment, and any objections must be raised before the journey begins.
RETURNING OF THE VESSEL:
The Client is required to return the yacht to the contract's base port on Friday evening until 6 p.m., clean and tidy, with full fuel and water tanks, ready for future sailing. Extending the negotiated return date is only justified in circumstances of natural disasters. If the boat is returned to another port, the Client must reimburse the Charter firm for any expenses incurred in returning it to the stipulated port, as well as any delays and damage. The representative of the Charter business will inspect the general condition and equipment and compare the current inventory and equipment to the inventory list.
NAVIGATIONAL / SAILING LICENSE:
The Client must have the appropriate nautical knowledge and skills, a valid navigational license, and proof of completion of the radio station handling training. The Charter business may demand the Client or their crew to demonstrate their ability to safely handle and navigate the vessel. If the Client requires the Skipper of the Charter Company, they must notify the Charter Company during the reservation process.
DOCUMENTS OF VESSEL:
The vessel is handed to the Client with all necessary paperwork for renting (permission, registration, insurance), as well as all other documents contained in the boat's folder. The Client is required to handle and store any received papers with extreme caution. When returning the boat, the Client must return all documentation and annexes received. The Client is required to keep detailed details in the boat's diary.
INSURANCE:
The terms established by the insurer with whom the boat is insured determine the insurance. The yacht is protected against third-party damage and is completely insured against all damage caused by Acts of God up to the registered amount of the yacht's worth for the risks specified in the insurance policy. The Charterer is personally accountable for all damage caused by failure to report or late damage reporting. If the damage happens during the cruise and the Charterer is not to be charged, he must obtain authorization from the Charteree for a sufficient repair. Insurance does not cover engine damage caused by a lack of oil in the motor. The Charterer is liable for this loss. Personal property damage is not covered by insurance.
