For those who enjoy long cruises and want to swim at some of Sardinia's most stunning beaches, the route can be difficult because it provides little shelter from winds in the first and second quadrants.

While tramontana and grecale winds complicate circumstances, navigating close to the mistral will introduce thermals from the southeast. With each stop offering stunning views and pristine waters perfect for swimming and snorkeling, this tour offers incredible experiences both on and off the water.

The Dufour 405, your voyage yacht is well-known for its roomy layout, providing one of the most comfortable 40-footer experiences. The boat has plenty of outside living space with its large cockpit and sunbathing area at the bow. More than one meter of beach is created by the opening stern platform, which makes it simple to approach the ocean. The yacht has three cozy double cabins below deck, two bathrooms, one with an electric WC, and a walled kitchen with lots of space in the dinette.

The Dufour 405 which combines comfort and excellent performance, is ideal for a family or a group of four to six friends. Its renovation was finished in 2021. For an extra cost, you can hire a professional chef if you would rather eat on board, which would free you up to enjoy the peace and beauty of Sardinia's coast without worrying about cooking.

• Day 1: Cagliari Begin your journey in Cagliari, Sardinia’s capital. Before setting sail, explore the ancient city’s highlights, including the Castello walls and the beautiful sunset views over the Molentargius Pond and its flamingos. In the evening, enjoy fresh seafood at local taverns before taking a relaxing walk along the Poetto beach promenade.

• Day 2: Poetto to Marina di Capitana (10 NM) Sail along the coast to Poetto, the iconic beach of Cagliari, with its 8 kilometers of white sand and crystal-clear waters. Continue to Marina di Capitana, a quaint harbor offering scenic views and small beaches. The area is well-serviced, making it an ideal stop for supplies.

• Day 3: Marina di Capitana to Villasimius (15 NM) Head towards Villasimius, passing by the stunning Cala Pintau, a vibrant cove with clear waters perfect for a swim. Villasimius boasts beautiful white sandy beaches like Genn’e Mari and Cann’e Sisa, surrounded by green-blue waters. Spend the night anchored at the marina.

• Day 4: Villasimius to Costa Rey and Capo Carbonara (25 NM) Sail towards Costa Rey, known for its Caribbean-like beaches and crystal-clear waters. The vast coastline is dotted with intimate coves and pristine sands, perfect for swimming or sunbathing. Continue to Capo Carbonara, where you’ll discover the protected marine area of Isola dei Cavoli, rich in marine life.

• Day 5: Capo Carbonara to Porto Corallo (25 NM) Cruise along the rugged coastline to Porto Corallo, a peaceful stop before heading into the Ogliastra region. Enjoy the quiet beaches and scenic views before anchoring for the night.

• Day 6: Porto Corallo to Arbatax (40 NM) Sail to Arbatax, the first stop along Ogliastra’s wild and imposing coast. Don't miss the famous Rocce Rosse (Red Rocks) cliffs, which are a highlight of the area. Take a short walk to admire these stunning red porphyry formations.

• Day 7: Arbatax to Santa Maria Navarrese (20 NM) Conclude your sailing adventure at Santa Maria Navarrese, known for its beautiful coastline and accessibility. The marina is equipped with facilities for all, making it a great place to end the trip while soaking in the local Sardinian charm and hospitality.
