The local market on Ammouliani island is a must-see; a day would not be enough to examine the local items and the village's centuries-old Mount Athos architecture.

The vessel sails from Ouranoupolis at 10:30 for a Blue Lagoon trip to the island of Diaporos in the vicinity of Vourvourou, which has crystal blue seas. Embarkation begins at 9:30 a.m., however tourists should arrive half an hour before departure. 

The ship sails from Ouranoupolis for Blue Lagoon, leaving behind the peninsula of Mount Athos, with the magnificent Mountain Athos towering up to 2033m in the backdrop. On the right, you can see Ammouliani and the Drenia islands, which you may visit on one of our cruises. Our destination, Sithonia, can be seen from the prow of the ship and will be reached in about an hour. 

Our first stop on the island Diaporos is in the open seas of the bay, where you may dive for about 45 minutes from the vessel into the turquoise crystal clear waters of the region. 

In approximately an hour, we'll arrive at Ammouliani Island and Tsaska Banana Beach, where you may enjoy the sun and sea beside the rich green foliage of the area. The music's pace and the beautiful design will captivate you. There is a road that goes to the highest point on the island, from which one can see the entire island as if they were flying, as well as the entire Mount Athos peninsula, with the massive Mountain Athos standing up to 2033m. Furthermore, the seas are shallow for the most portion of the beach, making it ideal for little children. 

After 2 hours of leisure, swimming, lunch, and exploring, the vessel sails for its next destination, which is only 15 minutes away—the historic little port of Ammouliani, where a 1 hour stop will be made. During this visit, you will have the opportunity to see the island's local market as well as the church, which is located in the square and was built in 1865 by Mount Athos monks. 

Until 1925, the island was a monastic dependency of H.M. Vatopedi, when it was ceded to Greek refugees from Minor Asia. You may also visit the folklore museum, which was erected in 1907 and used as a school during the island's early years. The historic "arsanas" (dockyard) is quite spectacular and was used by the monks to dock their tiny wooden boats. Finally, our return trip to Ouranoupoli takes approximately 20 minutes, and the ship arrives about 17:00.
